Title: Civilian Company Technology?

Sometimes I can find engine technology in my technology overview screen which I did not create. Are those engines which are created by Aurora for the civilian company ships?

If you mean the Technology Report, then yes.  An easy way to check is wether you have the same # of random designs as you do shipping companies ;)

Do they still use them if I obsolete them? Funny thing is that they are sometimes identical to some of my designs - to the component. Isn't there a routine in the game that my designs preferred use?
