Title: Small Cratt ECM

I've researched ecm-4 and small craft ecm-1, but can't research small craft ecm-2.  Am I missing something?

I can't be sure but I think you need to develop 'compact ECM X' first. In addition from what I've seen the rules are as follow. The compact ECM is always a generation behind the full sized ECM (except for the very last tech) while small craft ECM is at most at half the generation possible. So if you have ECM 4 you should be able to research compact ECM 3 and small craft ECM 2, but I may be wrong about that. It may be that you need compact ECM 4 to research small craft ECM 2. This applies to ECCM as well.

I also have compact ecm-3.

So, I have ecm-4, compact ecm-3, and small craft ecm-1.  The only ecm tech available to research is ecm-5.  The same for eccm.

I think I found my answer.  According to a post by Brian, I need ecm-5 and compact ecm-4, before small craft ecm-2 becomes available.

For some reason, my 1st search for "small craft ecm" didn't find the answer.
