So, I wanted to create something to fly at enemies and shoot at them with gauss cannons. Just for fun. I also decided to let it board enemies.

It is designed to be a rapid response vessel. I also designed a second part that goes to it:

Simply put its entire job is to take out/immobilize an enemy vessel using the unit and waste a bunch of missiles from the other ships. I have yet to test it though, so I will find out later how well it works.

Let me save you that part. It will not go well.
It fires 8 shots every increment with ~45% chance to hit at the max range of 20k km (energy weapon standoffs are usually in the hundred-thousand kilometer + range at ion drive tech). It also can't see the enemy as you need to have active sensor lock. It also is very crap at anti-missile work, as it won't be able to see the missiles (and enemy will probably be shooting in waves of hundreds of missiles by the way). Also, I just noticed that the max speed for your fire control is only 6,000 km/s, so more than half of your benefit from speed is wasted.
And while yes the fuel support ship helps with fuel range, it being military will be a hindrance. Replace the military drive with a commercial version.
How you can fix the Warhorse for the role you intended;
1) Replace the gauss cannons with turret mounted gauss cannons (and more total).
2) Create a fire control with a lower range but higher speed rating.
3) Half your engines (or at least reduce by 1).
4) At least double the fuel tanks.
5) Active sensors (a res 1, res ~20, and a res 150-200).
6) More engineering space (to at least 15), less Maintenance Storage.
7) Armor up to at least 6 (8 to 10 would be better).
8a) Replace the drop pod with a cryo drop pod.
8b) OR Replace the drop pod with a regular small troop transport and add a hangar. You can then design a really fast dropship that is only a drop pod and an engine.

What you're trying to design is a fast attack craft, in theory there's nothing wrong with a 15,000 ton FAC, but it's much more efficient to keep it small, especially so if it's only 1000 tons.
You'll probably find that a team of 6 1000 ton ships with similar range and perhaps slightly lower speed will have the same or better firepower and at half the cost.

It isn't supposed to have firepower or range. Doesn't really matter now though since when I built it I didn't completely understand how tractor beams worked/

How the hell is this ship that big ??
it has no sensors, not launchers, no magazines, tiny drop of fuel, 50% size Gauss guns ad paper thin armour. I would never guess that its over 2k tons..

I figure because it's over 90% engines, by the looks of it. Four 50HS engines?

I still can't get over how it's a 192kkm fire control being used for a 20kkm weapon, so much unnecessary space used across the whole design!

Actually i can relate to that one, i always use 4x/4x BFC's. I know i waste those tons but it hardly matters.
This whole design is absolutely bonkers :D
