Okay here's what I've come up with for my latest game, decided as background to put a large alien ruin on Mars and use the excuse of a crashed explorer ship from a high tech race on earth as the kickstarter for a TN start. So a photonic drive and vacuum energy power plants along with phased geo and grav sensors and EM sensors but no other tech apart from the basic TN stuff, no weapons, no electronic hardening, warfare or production boosts etc
These are some of ship classes I've used so far. I tend to refit ships up along various MK's rather than scrap and build new a kind of naval tradition to keep ships in service.

Okay first warship, I wanted to play around with missiles so concentrated my research there, these were quickly designed and built after my brave scouts on the second jump point from Sol ran into hostiles I suspect either precursor or invaders not completely sure though.
