I did get a divide by zero twice

Was that it? Should I get rid of the engineer brigades and attack with only the 3 marine brigades?

I don't know... I only got it when I set an attack with engineers only - As soon as I added a mobile infantry batallion it stopped the error and started killing the pesky robo-guards. Maybe it's to do with the number of enemy units? I don't know really, but you could try attacking with just the marines, see if it helps.

I don't know how I can only attack with the marines, It seems to me that all of my forces are being used, should I just get rid of these engineers and only have these marines left on the surface or can I select which units to use?

Engineers CAN fight, if they're on the defensive they will damage enemies. They aren't good, however, and you will lose them by the brigades to a couple enemy battalions.

God this is so annoying.

I can't fight these forces and I'm stuck on a 6 hour increment for some reason.

Perhaps they're connected? Well, gotta solve one thing in that case!

Ground forces fight every 5 days, so don't expect to see combat take place immediately if you're on 6 hour increments.
