Because aurora_wrapper. exe. manifest is not executable. . .

Yes that's very obvious.  I was confused as to why I was not getting a regular exe out of the archive, but now I realize my anti virus on the laptop was just deleting it without telling me.

Avast?

Yeah, had it turned off completely too.  What a silly AV.

Can't try right now so I'm wondering:
The portable release allow you to play without installing right? So I can copy/paste it on a dropbox folder, let it synchronize the files, and use it as a cloud save?

Avira also reports aurora_wrapper. exe as malware so I submitted and reported the file to them as a false positive.
However, after analysis, they still claim it's malware.

No - I will upload it with next Aurora release. If you don't believe me that current version is clean - feel free to compile it yourself.

I get weird issues when I use this, like all of the asteroids in Sol bunching up together in a straight line from the sun outwards and then rotating and other absolutely bizarre things, like actual ion drive tech designs appearing as researchable in an initial conventional start.   None of these things happen with the regular Aurora installation.
