Due to your insistence, part 9 has been posted.  :D

I did consider transferring the campaign to v5.20 but eventually decided to continue with v5.14.

My experience has been that plenty of people will enjoy reading fiction even if they never post a comment, Don't take a lack of comments as a sign of a lack of interest :)

A good indication is the "Post Read" count. If that number is high, then people are reading it.

'Tis a cruel thing to do sir, and so base an action I would never have associated with a gentleman of refined breeding such as yourself, to end a post with 'To be continued'.

Please fix or sumfink.

George Bernard Shaw put it best: "Not everyone that reads a post feels compelled to post about it, never forget the lurkers out there."*

*Potentially this might just be a complete fabrication...... it was actually Oscar Wilde.

More please, and more character based stuff, even if it slows the pace, I loved the stuff on Titan with Matthews.

A good indication is the "Post Read" count. If that number is high, then people are reading it.

This was the principal reason I asked as I had about four hits in just under a month for EDA 8. I now suspect this was because new posts in the child board were not being highlighted in the last post section of the Aurora fiction section. I posted a question in new forum software, which you said was working OK. Hence my query, notably once I "advertised" Post Read numbers increased to the usual numbers! :)

Thanks for your kind words, it took about six weeks to fight and write that conquest up. I am barely a year ahead in the game.

The EDA now have run in to another problem that may take me a bit longer to resolve. :)

That may be the biggest ground combat writeup I've seen. I've never had one on that scale. I assume all the cool details of strategy and areas conquered are artistic license? If that detail is in the game somewhere I've missed it.

Also, forgive me a question unrelated to your AAR: do replacement battalions work automatically, or is there a command I've missed?
