Explanation of Sol-Class Laser, Meson & Hull Defense Batteries:
 --- So this is the breakdown of what these components actually are in terms of their mechanically relevant stats. I'm placing this here for a few reasons, really. Firstly, because this is the first paragraph of fluff. Secondly, because it helps to make a better assessment of the ship presented and thus serves as a TL;DR of sorts. Thirdly, because fitting it into the main fluff in a meaningful way is pain. Now with that out of the way, here is the breakdown of these components given in the same order as they are in the heading:

   - The "Sol-Class Laser Battery" is made up of nine 30cm Far Gamma Ray Lasers. These are arranged in a "Gun Assembly", which is three of these in a nine-layer armor scheme with 0km/s tracking speed. These are then further arranged into a "Turret Assembly" which mount a single "Gun Assembly" and have the same 0km/s tracking speed while adding a further nine-layers of armor. Three of these "Turret Assemblies" make up a "Sol-Class Laser Battery", which has a 100,000km/s tracking speed while adding yet another nine-layers of armor.

   - The "Sol-Class Meson Battery" is made up of four 30cm Meson Cannons with maximum focusing and penetration tech. These are arranged in a "Gun Assembly", which is two of these in a nine-layer armor scheme with 0km/s tracking speed. These are then further arranged into a "Turret Assembly" which mount a pair of "Gun Assemblies" that have the same 0km/s tracking speed while adding a further nine-layers of armor. Two of these "Turret Assemblies" make up a "Sol-Class Meson Battery", which has a 100,000km/s tracking speed while adding yet another nine-layers of armor.

   - The "Sol-Class Hull Defense Battery" is made up of 150-Ton Gauss Cannons with an eight shot per increment rate of fire and a 50% accuracy modifier. These are further arranged into a "Gun Core w/ Housing" which mounts a pair of "Gun Cores" that have the same 0km/s tracking speed while adding a further two-layers of armor.  --- Not really sure what you mean by this myself, but yes it is intended for use in my current MaxTech game. The turret... things have more HtK per ton when built this way then they would otherwise. They are mainly built that way for flavor, however, although the armor serves the purpose of tanking Mesons. Mesons have a 7% chance to be stopped by armor at this tech level, so my armor is really quite useless in this role.

 --- In no particular order: The Troop Transport Capacity is fluff more than function as 27k+ crew count ensures that only the most determined of boarding actions are likely to succeed. Likewise, perhaps you didn't know but the Cryo Berths serve to prevent Life Support failures if the Crew Quarters take damage. Nine Armor points is indeed quite pitiful, but I thought shields were worth more at this tech anyway. The fire controls are useful against [REDACTED], and fighter / FAC swarms in general. The CIWS is there because this ship is intended to operate alone or as part of a fleet, the FCS count is also inflated for this reason. Likewise, the extra FCS and ECM systems ensure some redundancy. Of note on the subject of CIWS; they fire before all other Final Fire Point Defense weapons, so the 10,000km Gauss that makes up the "Hull Defense Battery" only shoots at what the CIWS doesn't kill.
