Loving the intro, multiple realities constantly burned down with the survivors shaping the next reality in hopes of making it better! :)

Thanks Erik, that's what I get for writing it on the train on the way to a formal meeting :)

Thanks Beerastron, I wanted to link my stories and whenever I upgrade Aurora, I try and make my next game better so I figured why not write it into the storyline?

Something about missiles moving around 1/3rd of light speed makes you wonder why they would ever bother with a laser.

I suppose maybe they just need to remind themselves there is still ONE thing out there that could outrun a Dart......  ::)

Love your work, as always... ;D

Because no matter how good your missile tech may get, it is very expensive to keep a fleet in munitions for any sort of extended campaign.  Energy weapons do not have the logistical tail that missiles require.  Also missiles require purpose built ships to transport the missiles, and those ships are automatically military ships so they are more expensive to maintain than the civilian ships that can be used to support the rest of the fleets needs.

Absolutely, in my last game, the missile ships were the shock forces and the laser ships were used for holding the line and long attritional engagements; like when the Celts were blockading the Garn Singh Home World.

I looking for people's opinions.  In this campaign, I've mostly been writing from a campaign report perspective (temporal humans aside) rather than a first person view.  Before I start the next year of reports, would people prefer that I returned to the first person view I used for large sections of the previous campaign?

I'm kind of missing the first person stories.  I'm wondering if some mixture would work well.

Me too, I'm writing the next report up from the perspective of the commander of the 5 ships about to face over 40 Hushnak warships  :o
