External and uploaded avatars are limited to 65x65. Avatars in the library are not limited.

Huh?  ??? Did I accidentally quote myself? Perhaps when I tried to edit my post? Weird.

Anyway, when I refer to the size limit on avatars I mean the size it actually displays in posts and forum profile.  Yours, for example, is noticeably larger than mine.  And, as I said, there other other members with avatars which appear larger than normal.

Maybe I should try updating my avatar again when I reach 10 posts?

Your avatar is visible.

The link munge is only up to 10 posts.

And as far as I know, there are no size limitations on avatars.

After signing up and making my first post, the next thing I did was try to upload an avatar.       But looking at my profile page, I did not find  the expected mention of maximum dimensions of the avatar image.       (Most boards will list this as something like 150x150, 100x100, 100x80, 80x80, etc.    )

All I could go on was the image size of user avatars here.       Judging by that, most had size 65x65, though I did see some noticeably larger - a few about 88x90, up to 100x100.       And while one of these was an administrator's, the others seemed to be regular members/players.

I tried several times to upload a 100x100, both directly from my drive and from an http offsite source.       But every time it automatically down-sizes my avatar to 65x65?  ??? I even tried uploading an 88x90 avatar, but it still did that.

Is 65x65 the max size for regular users now? And if so, why isn't this mentioned on the profile page?

For that matter, why isn't there a section of this forum reserved for forum feedback and related forum issues? You have an area for the wiki, so why not the forum itself?  ::)
