Changing ship class doesn’t update the designation

So, I changed my destroyer designation to cruisers and Aurora properly renamed my ships CA-01 etc. A new ship of that class however, got a CA-01 designation, which is already used by another ship. Same things happened with another class. The only way to get around it is to SM build enough ships to get to a higher number.

There is a "Select Hull Num" button - under selected ship "Miscellanous" tab.
Also there is a "Renumber Hull" button under ship class design "Ships in Class" tab.
