Title: Transporting and stealing people/resources. PPV, etc.
Post by: MrKimler on May 31, 2022, 02:39:29 PM
One: patrol ships do not appease the colony (патруль меркурия/венеры).  Two: someone is transporting/stealing resources and people from Мировяк to Mercury.  Third: if it's a private company how do I remove it or what do I do with it? Where can I learn about the colonies? Where can I see about protection in the colonies? Where can I learn about ground troops and movings to other systems? Where can I learning up diplomacy (with other civilizations)? Where can I learn up orbital mining from planets/asteroids? What technology opens the Cargo Shuttle Bay (I just forgot which one)? Sorry for my English.  :>

The wiki gives you clues, trial and error gives info and of course asking around...

Civilian mining operations are no problem, send cargo ships with infrastructure and colony ships to the civilian station and use it as a colony site.

Are your patrol ship armed and in orbit?

About the population, if its over 10 million its being transported of planet by civilian ships, you can change that in civilian economy tab

I don't know what a civilisation station is.   I just sent colonists  and
infrastructure with mines to mercury by freighter and colonial ships.

Yes the patrol fleets are in orbit and yes they are armed.

And no I don't have a colony of 10 million yet and I haven't built ships for transport (for passengers as I understand it).   Sorry again for my English.  Thanks for the wiki.  :>

When you design a ship, you can see it's PPV value. It's possible that your patrol ships have such a tiny PPV value that you need to build more of them.

Check on Colony screen how much PPV your colony demands and then compare to your patrol ship fleet.

If a Civilian Mining Colony is operating on Mercury, you can buy their output - this is usually the best way to proceed. You cannot remove them per se, but you can also put down your own mines on the same body.

Creating an empty colony on a body prevents CMC's from starting there so that's how you can reserve certain bodies for yourself.

Cargo Shuttle Bay is part of Logistics research if I remember correctly.

Ground troops and interstellar movement are quite complex topics - there are plenty of tutorial videos available here on the forums, you might want to check them out.

Thank you.  I'll go read the wiki and yes I've already sorted out the PPV.  How can you tell if it's a civilian colony or not? :>

They have the letters CMC after their name. And if you click to sort colonies "By Function" then they are in their own category. The names are often also a dead giveaway.

So my colony is on mercury.  And that's goodness.  Thanks.  :>
