Check that your browser and/or windows security settings are not preventing downloads.  I just tested the link and could download the patch normally.

When i click download, nothing happens.  A tab quickly opens up and closes.

By all the storms in the sea! What a heartfelt surprise seeing this is out. Thank you Steve for all your efforts, I'am amazed you manage to stay sane and keep coding with this ragtag bunch of typewriter equiped apes posting away.
Huzzah! <3

Let's not overstate matters, some of us are typewriter equipped troglodytes!  :P

Well my Stellaris game just got shot in the ass!  ;D

I got Stellaris with recent the humble bundle and am still working through my first game, but the 3.0 patch espionage and industry changes threw that game into disarray as well...

So it is obviously time to turn my attention back to Aurora.  Thanks Steve!

They fix something and f**k something else, it's always like that. I honestly have more hopes for DW2 to compete against Aurora, even if I can see myself distracting from Aurora with DW2 not the other way around.

It took a couple of games to sort out all the changes in Stellaris. Overall, I like the Envoy and espionage changes. Pop changes are ok-ish so far, once I figured out what the hell I was doing. There were a couple of good videos on Youtube that helped.

As far as Aurora, once past the usual lengthy setup, my current game is rolling, nothing super fancy yet, but I can have a turn or 4 of Aurora going while I sit on conference calls all day.

If they don't fix the pops like asap Stellaris was and will remain garbage, IMHO.

Porting a Sol-only campaign isn't that big of a deal, especially since I don't care about leader names getting changed. Just have to write down facilities, wealth and minerals, as well as shipyards and techs researched. It's pretty simple, just a lot of fiddling.

Re-creating a jump network is a massive pain in the butt because you have to do it via DB editing. At least you can now modify systems in-game so you get the planetary systems correct but yeah, as far as I know people with multi-system empires - empty systems changing doesn't affect your AAR after all - usually keep playing until the end before moving to the next version.

Hooray and thanks Steve!

I'll wait a little bit more before porting my campaign over as you suggested but it's definitely fantastic to have this one out now!

As someone also looking into porting a campaign, any tips you have to share? Although I recall your campaign is still in Sol only so it isn't as difficult to recreate the conditions since you don't have a JP network, etc. so you may not need to transfer data between DBs.

Well, this should be fun. Now I just need to hold on for 48 hours for any major bugs to show up...
