Title: C# Aurora v1.9.3 Patch [1.9.3]
Post by: Steve Walmsley on April 30, 2020, 12:05:36 PM
This is save game compatible. It can only be used to patch v1.9.0 or later.

Delete the Aurora.exe file from the installation directory and then copy the file from this patch into that directory.

If you reported a bug in a previous version and I didn't explicitly state it was fixed, please check it still exists in v1.9.2 before reporting it. Please do not report bugs from earlier versions.

Is this a stable release for now? Some friends of mine has been working on a Chinese translation as well as a tutorial of Aurora, they are worrying that the work will become difficult if the game is updated almost every day that changes the game file and possibly non-savegame compatible.

There will be database updates in the future, Steve has said so as some of the bugs require DB changes.

Aurora will never be "stable" - it is an actively developed game that will continue to have new features and save-breaking updates as long as Steve has new ideas he wants to implement. The pace of updates will probably slow down soon (and already has slowed down from the update-per-day that we had on release) as most of the bugs get fixed. For reference, there was about a week between v1.8 and v1.9, so we can probably expect something similar or slightly longer for v1.10. If you want to make a tutorial, that is probably fine right now, since almost all of the current patches have to do with bug fixing rather than new features.

Once the game is stable, the updates will move to mainly feature updates and they will likely be weeks apart.
