Update

I did some testing: Jump Points have nothing to do with it, instead the problem is certainly caused by having researched the "Minimum Squadron Jump Engine Size - 8" technology:
- until it is completed the error does not occur,
- as soon as the technology is completed the error is generated,
- if I pause the development of the technology the error is not generated ...

It does not seem to me that it has already been reported.

At a certain point in the game, if I open the Create Research Project window and select Jump Engines, the error in subject is generated (in  attachment).
As you can see, the drop down text box relating to the Engine Size is empty: if I click OK, and choose a value, the error is not generated.

It seems that the problem is generated when from Siriurs a new system with NPR is discovered: I loaded a backup of the database where the error is not generated, after a while a GSV in Sirius discovers a new JP and when it is crossed here is that the error is generated.

Complete error text: "2.1.1 Function #1050: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

System:
Windows 10
Decimal separator: dot
Aurora version: 2.1.1 vanilla, no mod. (added only some flags an ribbons)
Conventional start
Real star

The bug is reproducible starting with a db backup, if needed I can provide it.

EDIT: Ok, the second screenshot is correct, Jump Engine Size drop down value are correct.
