Little bit of catching up to do here:

Aquarian ship design seems a bit scattershot to me. There seems to be an emphasis on quite long-ranged vessels at the cost of valuable speed, I'm not sure the tradeoff is a good one under the circumstances. Also rather too much CIWS which to me seems a holdover from the earlier designs for survey, scout, and intelligence ships designed to operate alone. In a fleet setting CIWS quickly loses effectiveness.

Meanwhile the mining crunch is now settling upon Aquaria, how this will be dealt with promises to be an exciting saga.

The system once again is called Cacun. WHY OH WHY. It now being renamed to the Captain Last name which is Kwiecien

I am not sure this is what we would call an improvement.

4062 - 4067

The Aquarians are suffering from Low fuel shortages and the fact even thing take so long to move minerals from 3-4 jumps away is hard to progress.

I have seen some players advocate that factories, shipyards, etc. should be moved to new colonies in parallel with mining facilities, this means your rate of mineral extraction is slower but you do not lose so much time and fuel to mineral shipping activities.

4065, 10 September       Over and over put ships are needing repairs and it taking them atleast 12 months to get to the outer sectors. I think we need to invest into Gates, else we will not be able to produce faster ships.

Or jump tenders, these also do excellent work in many fleets across the galaxy.

There has also been ShipChat™. Regarding the points raised by my estimable colleague previously:
  • Agreed on speed/range. For a combat ship two engines are I think necessary, I have seen enough ships lost from having engines shot out that the redundancy is invaluable. No real tonnage need be wasted as the range can simply be reduced.
  • Agreed on thermal reduction being luxurious, but as gallicite has shockingly not been a mineral of shortages I think it is working out okay.
  • Fire control is indeed mismatched and this is quite egregious. Similarly for the reactor. OOC, I personally think there are more ways to represent "making mistakes" than mismatching numbers in game, certainly it does accomplish the desired result though. Personally I feel like most ship designers are smart enough to make numbers match up, but given the accounts of Aquarian scientists I do not have to suspend very much disbelief.
  • The curious missile launcher selection for example is a good "making mistakes" idea and one I am not sure I would be brave enough to steal, so props where props are due.
  • While I agree on the thermal sensor, more egregious in my opinion is the lack of a EM sensor to enable counter-detection of enemy active sensors.
Personally, I would more roundly question the choice of CIWS + 10cm laser turrets for PD armament. CIWS struggles in a fleet defense role as it only protects the ship it is mounted on, in any other case Gauss cannon turrets are much more effective. And in this case, why even use laser turrets particularly as these struggle to compete with even 10cm railguns. Future generations are recommended to use Gauss turrets with offensive laser batteries or spinal lasers, according to the experts at my in-house design bureau.

Here I must concur.

4062 - 4067

The Aquarians are suffering from Low fuel shortages and the fact even thing take so long to move minerals from 3-4 jumps away is hard to progress. They eventually colonised the Kwiecien II planet and now want to send a range of equipment to that system. Now with corporations popping up commercial shipping should be easier and might be able to scrap a portion of the cargo fleet.

Calendar Entries of Note

4062, 26 May                The Ruins on Noviello one has been full exploited, which considered of 2 Automated Mines, 1 Construction Factory, 4200 Uridium, 6.4 Million fuel, 6000 Maintenance Supplies.

4062, 5 June                 Five Mexican Colony Ships build this will be used to ship personal to Kwiecien II, the first colony ships with 350,000 people left.

4063, 9 January             Captain Marcel Carline, commander of the Shipyards was killed while inspecting the rushed work to complete the 50K Athens Class Troop Transport. This class is purely for the movement of Cargo for troops. Captain Carline leave behind a wife and 2 kids. Continued unrest on Kwiecien II , with low level insurgency again the 4th Ranger Regiment.

4063, 12 March             The JS Washington jumped into a new system through Npviello, the time honoured tradition remains The new system is called the Dorschner system after Commander Cameron Dorschner. The tiny M6-V solar, has only 2 planets and a small number of asteriods.

4063, 23 September       Trying to get the Planetary Guard Division created has been a tough slog, Dr  Peter Willis done his bit push ground force construction up to 500  ton per whatever. No one was really interested.

4064, 23 March              The JS San Francisco entered into the a new system from Kwiecien, the system is now called Troise after the captain. The system has 10 planets, 50 moons around a Huge M1-III star, however is has a small mass. None important sseem to be in the system

4064, 7 December          The first Civilian construction of the Asay Carrier Corporation build a C6 class Colony Ship.

4065, 8 April                  Intelligence update of Kwiecien II has revealed a population of 921m however 0 installations put this group of sentient shrimp in the pre warp era. lucky we have come along and liberated them.

4065, 10 September       Over and over put ships are needing repairs and it taking them atleast 12 months to get to the outer sectors. I think we need to invest into Gates, else we will not be able to produce faster ships.

4066, 8 July                  Captain Hank Stop retired at the age of 43, a pretty poor effort, and the fact he has a system named after.  him. Just disappointing.

4067, 24 October         The Cormyr race on Kwiecien has now been conquered at the 1st Planetary Division patrolled the streets. We had also Autopsy one of the insurgents corpses.

However the Diplomatic staff find Patillo, Weak and Unreliable and he look ready to run at any given opportunity.
Given what has happened to past Diplomatic ships can anyone blame him for being prepared to run away?

4060, 18 September       For some reason poor Captain Hank Stops had developed a medical condition, from the last mission. The Survey Command wishes him well and hiope the shipboard doctor is up to the task of looking after the Captain.
It's shame. He has had an attack of Shame at giving that poor system such a terrible name.

4060, 24 November       Dr Bella Whang increased Mining Production Efficiency to 16 tons however that was not good enough and she been make to continue until it is 20 tons.
Another incredible name. Shame she isn't in weapons research, the Whang Missile has potential I feel.

Excellent news about the victory at Kwieien II and some troops actually surviving for once. OK they survived because there was no battle, but that still counts as progress. Doesn't it?

Thank you for your enquiries to the Naval Ship Designers. We will try and respond to your questions adequately.

The Amiens was the first warship for the Aquarian Navy. This Frigate was unfortunately designed to be a stop gap until a fleet of ships was possible. The Amiens class has been upgrade 3 times with new engines and sensor technology, not to lose the ability to refit everything in the hull the designs were upgraded with the same tonnage of equipment.

The Amiens is the fastest ship in the Aquarian Fleet, however the new Destroyer Escort Mountain class which has been delayed but will roll of production shortly with increase even faster at 4000km/s, only slightly slower then the Mobile Imperium ships at 5,500km/s

When creating the Amiens class we did not have any recovery vessels or ability to help a vessel that lost one engine, it was designed for redundancy because of the lack of support options. However the Aquarian design philosophy prefers much redundancy in it design.

Thermal reduction does not reduce the capable speed and it is expensive but with out limited naval forces we spare no expensive in saving our crews.

The 15in Gun is an older design and has not been upgraded unlike the sensor equipment. there is no plans in upgrading the gun we feel it is adequate for the role. The new destroyer escort will be the main stay for missile defence.

The reactor is indeed more powerful, we upgraded this over the older reactor, which was the same size. Yes we could gain some weight back however we feel that the reactor is such a small size we did not want to risk too much hull changes.

We have not used the Amiens in combat however we a confident that in it weapons system to be able to deliver on target it desired packages. We have already successfully used the package in a planetary bombardment role.

We build bigger Missile Sensors so it give our team time to work out the action they need to accomplish. Also new missile system will be available that will take advantageous of the new ranges.

Sorry the ASM MFC was added, The PR rep who pushed this to the public has been sacked.
Cowans Electronics  Missile Fire Control FC83-R10 150 (1)     Range 83.4m km    Resolution 10

The Frigate was made to work alone on picket duty, or in squadrons of five or six. However we still limited in numbers.

Thanks you for your concerns on design, I hope you be really happy in our new powerful Destroyer Escort Mountain class, which we provide to the public stunning specification and we planning a partnership with Telecco Model Company is some great construction set you can put together.

Code: [Select]
A lot of the design comes from RP, I only want to change things once they learn from their mistakes, so this is somewhat
deliberate to be inefficient. Some of it however is also out of necessity because of the RP decision prior. My starting base design
was a current US navy frigate style weapons system which is a mix of box launchers, a single gun and sometimes a additional
magazine  missile launcher. I swapped the ASM and AAM around to see what would happen in a battle if I had one.
P.S. Also forgot Fuel size are huge because the Aquarian System is huge, some jump points are a good distance away, so they got used to build huge fuel capacity

4058 - 4062

Our first win as Aquarians, it looks like the new governor is a pusher. Things like minerals and ships are stabilising across the board. We have so much logistic ships that we are now heading to a multi system nation.

Calendar Entries of Note

4058, 26 March              Finish Survey of Aquarii V-II, this is the further we can go in a our present system, there is still up to Aquarii XIIII and asteroid further out however the fuel required is just to big.

4058, 19 May                 DIP Alantia, moved to within 22m km of Kwiecien, with the hopes of making contact. Commodore Sammie Patillo, is trying not to make the mistake of past diplomatic ships. However the Diplomatic staff find Patillo, Weak and Unreliable and he look ready to run at any given opportunity.

4058, 13 September       The Navy looked at explaining it command structure as, more ships come online. The two new command areas were Survey Command and Ranger Command. There was a slight shuffle of Admirals. Admiral Calvin Gehlert became Head of the Fleet, vice Admiral Diego Shields, became head of Survey Command, and Vice Admiral Lonnie Larranaga Head of Ranger Command. But Truly on the head of the transport ships Ranger retained overall command. Ranger liked Larranga as it seemed to have Ranger sort of in the name and nicknamed her Admiral Lasagne, she might been Inflexible and Dogmatic but she was adventurous and that took guts.

4058, 23 September        There was new jump point detected in the Kwiecien System,
4058, 20 October             2nd Survey Company Completed it ground survey of Sigma P III,  making it a very desirable mining sector for Titanium 110m at 0.5 access. However the vast amount of other minerals were just too hard to retrieve at a .1 . Sigma P I had 21m tons of Corbonmite at 0.7 access.

4058, 24 December         Dr Kathy Calvin upgraded the CIWS-120 to the new CIWS-200. Cathy has managed 22 projects. The Joint Chiefs are proud of her work.

4059, 15 May                  Sc Llany under the new commander of CDR Hiram Haddix discovers the first jump point in the Noviello System

4059, 20 May                The Destroyed Outpost on Noviello I have been fully surveyed. The fresh OEA troops that were about to land on the planet was not needed. Obviously Major Gregoria Garretson got his arse into gear. The Alien race was definitely from the old Earth Empire. The 7 abandoned installation were available however the heavy equipment of a construction unti was required.

4059, 1 June                 Dr Rene Mera increased the Shipbuilding rate to 750BP. This was greatly appreciated. This only her 2nd project and this high educated was looked on with promise. Little did the Join Chief know she was selling any secrets on the side to commercial interests for a profit. untrustworthy. It be interesting how long she get away, her new home over looking the coast was apparently a donation by a 'patron' for tax reasons.

4059, 17 June               A second jump point was discovered in the Noviello system. SC Penmarc under Cdr Joaquin Pitt had the honours.

4060, 26 March             The JS Chicago jumped into a new system from the Noviello system, as been standard the computer giving us names which just are the same as one we already have with a different number. So the system is now know as the Stops system after Captain Hank Stops. This does not sounds like a great name however here it is. The 12 planet system off a K1-III star, a massive 25 times the size of the Sol and 3 times its mass, know as a orange dwarf. However the Stops system was very uninhabitable.

4060, 14 August           The mining bases are starting now to rebalance the mineral shortage and dump a load on Aquaria Prime for ship building. The Annapollis ships are which we now have 42 of are doing the bulk of the back breaking work.

4060, 18 September       For some reason poor Captain Hank Stops had developed a medical condition, from the last mission. The Survey Command wishes him well and hiope the shipboard doctor is up to the task of looking after the Captain.

4060, 17 October           Dr Kathy Calvin in development of the two stage Thermonuclear warhead has been give the Order of Aquaria for her services in research.

4060, 16 November       Dr Karon Livengood rivalry with Dr Karol Resch reach new levels, for one they both made fun that there first names were incorrect, however after Livegood enhance planetary sensors to 700, Resch stole her labs for the new thermal sensitivity enhancement

4060, 24 November       Dr Bella Whang increased Mining Production Efficiency to 16 tons however that was not good enough and she been make to continue until it is 20 tons.

4060, 4 December         Dr Garland Losee completed research on Laminate Composite Armour.  This might be the next level of ranger armour we need, however the Aquarian government has got no response from the Kwiecien Aliens, also they seem to be too passive as we accidently parked out Intelligence ship over their planet and di not attack. The Aquarian feel they need to land force and protect these creatures before the Mobile Imperium invades. Also they are aquatic creature, so they don't even use the surface. The join Chief believe this will be a easier task for the 4th Ranger Regiment.

4061, 1 January           Governor Adalberto Revis fulfilled his 20 year instalment, welcoming Leona Crumwell, she was a cold manned woman, who was very much result-orientated and stubborn. In the past she followed order without question making her morals dubious at best. Her first take was to send 4th Ranger Regiment out to Kwiecien system.

4061, 17 February       A factory was restored at the Old Earth Outpost.

4061, 14 March            Governor Crunwell, already push hard with plans for a Colony ship using existing engines and jump drives to colonise the Kwiecien planet. Her thought was the worst case senario we will use it on another planet to colonise this was her goal to colonise two or three systems.

4062, 30 April              4th Ranger Regiment made an Orbital Drop onto Kwiecien II, 11th Ranger Battalion was pushed forward while 10th and 12th Bns held defensive positions. As contact with the Aquatic species was made they surrendered agreed to our protection straight away. However there is much civil unrest. It seems  we require a full division to supress the population. A request for a new planetary guard has been put in place. New Large Troopships will need to be created to move the Guard forces across as well. The Governor has quickly set to work.

As the builders have asked for industry feedback, who am I to deny them?
  • Speed / Range. The range looks very long and the speed very slow for MagPla era. Do the Aquarians really need such a long range? Could they trade some range for speed? Say 4000 km/s and 25 billion range would take the same tonnage and seems more attractive, I'd lean towards even lower ranges and more speed unless there is a need.
  • Two engines is good for redundancy, but this is a small ship trying to do everything. Single engine would save valuable tonnage.
  • Thermal reduction on the engine is a bold (and expensive) choice.
  • Why do none of the Tacking Speeds match up? The turret is 5500km/s but the main (only) fire control does 9000km/s.
  • Unless the Amiens are operating alone the CIWS looks a waste, drop it and use the saved tonnage to make a faster tracking turret.
  • Reactor is twice the size it needs to be (Turret needs 6 power per turn, reactor is producing 12)
  • Box launched AMM and standard ASMs is an unusual choice. A dozen AMMs is not going to do much to any incoming attack. But then a "volley" of 3 ASMs 30seconds apart is also not going to do much to the enemy. Box launched ASMs and standard AMMs launchers (and a magazine full of AMMs) would be more conventional, or standard launchers for both if you are trying to not exploit the AI.
  • The R1 sensor has a MCR of only 700k, but the AMM and AMM FC have a range of 17.4m km. A shorter range AMM could be faster and more effective. A shorter ranged R1 MFC would be much smaller.
  • You could use the tonnage saved to add a separate MFC for the ASMs, they have a 50m km range but would be relying on a 17m km FC
  • Does every ship need a 500 tonne thermal sensor? If they are operating alone then (maybe) fine, but if they work in groups then a 'Command' variant with those sensors and a 'standard' variant without but with more launchers seems a good idea. They should both be buildable from the same shipyard so no need to have a dedicated shipyard for the Command variant.
I've no doubt those more experienced can offer better advice, and much of the above may well be wrong or may be deliberate RP choices, but these are the things I noticed.

The ship builder of the Amien Class is now interested in the public disapproval of the Amiens Frigate class. please feel free to respond here.

The Amiens class was a swiss army knife to a range of issues as it would be a while to produce different variants with the limited Shipyard capacities. Still only have 6 Shipyards 3 Naval, 2 Commercial 1 Repair.

The Situation on Torqual Prime
On Torqual Prime, instabilities introduced by the conquest of the planet and the forced imposition of a government by the D’Bringi, ultimately resulted in the fall of that government.  This government was unpopular, and was largely seen by the populace as a puppet of the Alliance, so the rebellion was popular amongst the people.  In the chaos of the fall of the puppet government, a group of dedicated Stalinist communists seized power and used discontent with the puppet government, and the old regime that ruled before it, to cement their power on the home world.  The new Revolutionary Council promised the sun and the moon to the people, and then used the resulting rush of enthusiasm to secure their power.  The people’s joy at their newfound freedom soon turned to fear and discontent as the People’s Revolutionary Council established an iron hold over the people’s daily necessities and began rooting out all opposition, no matter how slight.  Adherents of the old governments were arrested and either disappeared, publicly executed, or deported to the colonies.  Soon, any one that even looked like they might oppose the new government were being treated in a similar manner, and along with them were many ‘innocent’ people who merely displeased one of the Council’s informers or enforcers.  The Revolutionary Council was able to gain an iron grip on Torqual Prime’s population in a fairly short period of time, however, vast amounts of discontent surged just beneath the surface.

The Revolutionary Council initially focused all of its efforts on the home world, ignoring the colonies.  The Council believed that its future would be secured if they could control the home world, and that the colonies would fall in line once the industrial powerhouse that was the home world was under control.  A news blackout was enforced around the home system, ensuring that the only information that was sent out was propaganda approved by the Council.  Grand dictates were sent to the colonies, but little was done to ensure that they were being followed.  Unfortunately, the Council did not have as much control as they thought, and numerous messages were slipped out by family members to their relatives on the colonies, warning them of events on the home world.  The colonies, seeing the madness that was sweeping Torqual Prime, began recruiting and arming militias, and the various colonial governors met in secret to discuss a plan of resistance, but the reality was that any overt resistance they put together would be swept aside by forces from the home world the second the Revolutionary Council turned its attention back towards the stars.  So instead, the governors put together a plan of covert resistance, and began sending messages to the Home Fleet and the Torqual ships assigned to the Alliance Fleet, begging for assistance.

The Revolutionary Council was largely composed of academics and criminals, none of whom had military experience.  As a group they hated and distrusted the military, and viewed them as nothing more than the puppet government’s thuggish enforcers.  They therefore didn’t trust the Torqual Home Fleet, or understand the mindset of its officers.  The Council’s first step in establishing control over the fleet was to require the fleet’s officers to swear allegiance to the new government.  The Torqual Fleet had long had a culture of supporting and defending the legitimate government, and the fleet’s officers had been divided over the legitimacy of the new government.  In the end, having no other real options, they agreed to swear allegiance.  With that completed and on a more secure footing on the ground, the Revolutionary Council began carefully purging the Home Fleet’s officers, starting with the highest levels and then working down the chain.  During this process the fleet was required to send its missile stocks to ground storage locations, ensuring that it had no power to interfere with events on the surface of the planet.  At first the transfer of power was above board, but then the Council began disappearing officers that had been recalled to the surface, resulting in an event called “That Night” by the crewers that survived it.  With rumors of the mistreatment of the recalled officers circulating, the Council sent teams of its elite Council Guard Force into orbit with orders to seize control of every ship, arresting every officer and senior NCO that remained of the ‘old fleet’.  With the assistance of the Council’s tame officers already in place the assault on the fleet was successful, and in one fell swoop the officer corps and the senior NCO’s were replaced with personnel carefully selected for loyalty to the new regime. None of those officers or crewers would be seen again.  Their replacements knew next to nothing of ship-board operations, and the efficiency of the Home Fleet fell to next to nothing overnight.   Fatal and near-fatal accidents skyrocketed, and moral fell to rock bottom.  Still, the Council was satisfied, as they only really cared about the loyalty of the officers assigned to the fleet’s ships, not their technical training or strategic or tactical capabilities.

With the Home Fleet under control, and resistance on the home world either eliminated or driven deep underground, the Council began implementing the changes to Torqual society that it believed were absolutely necessary to secure the happy and prosperous future they desired.  These changes were sweeping, and covered nearly every aspect of Torqual society.  As part of this new program, everyone identified by the Council as potential recidivists were arrested and deported to the colonies, particularly to a harsh planet in the newly named Equity system.  The arrests were always conducted at night, and usually were more indiscriminate sweeps than targeted affairs, and they fed the growing hatred and contempt that the people felt for the Council, a fact that the Council was largely blind to, given their institutional paranoia and dismissal of all opposing views as simple recidivism.

It was at this point that the Council turned its attention to the Torqual forces assigned to the Alliance Fleets in Alliance territory.  As these forces outnumbered its own, caution was required, and the Council began calling back the out-system forces piecemeal.  Fortunately for the out-system forces a brave comms officer got a message out to warn them when Council Guard forces assaulted their ship shortly after returning to the home system.  This led to the out-system forces putting together a desperate plan to retake their home system before the Council was able to build enough ships to overwhelm them.  The out-system forces, under the command of Admiral Falson, have under-the-table support from the Alliance, which wants the Revolutionary Council replaced by a government more friendly to the Alliance.

Torqual Fleets as of Month 189

Free Torqual Fleet
The Free Torqual Fleet is composed of ships that were assigned to support Alliance Fleets, and were in Alliance territory when things began going wrong on their home planet.  Being assigned to the Alliance and away from Torqual territory meant that the ships and crews of those ships were insulated from what was going on back home, although rumors and inuendoes did make their way to the fleet.

Eventually, though, the situation changed when the revolutionary government on Torqual Prime turned its attention to the recidivist crewers and officers on board the ships assigned to the Alliance.  To the revolutionary government these crewers were a threat, as they were not indoctrinated in the current politically correct mindset, and thus could not be trusted.  Therefore, the government started to call the ships back to the home system for rest and replenishment, at which time the crews would be replaced with politically reliable crews.  Unfortunately for the government, their enforcers were a bit too eager and jumped the gun, giving the crew on one of the returning cruisers a chance to get a warning out to the rest of the fleet, leading to the current situation.

The Free Torqual Fleet is composed of long-service crews, many of which have served the Torqual race going back before the invasion by the D’Bringi.  Most of the ships in the Free Fleet are crack, with the remainder being elite.  As such they are seen as an intolerable threat by the revolutionary government, and must be eliminated.

All Free Fleet ships have full magazines, curtesy of the Alliance.

6xIroguois v1.2 class CL’s (3xGreen, 2xPoor, 1xInept)

All of the ships assigned to the out-system forces are missile-armed units, as the revolutionary government of Torqual Prime expects those ships to threaten the colonial governments into complying with the enforcement teams it has sent out to each colony, and beam armed ships would not be able to threaten ground targets.  Because of cost-cutting, and the general disdain that the revolutionary government holds for the military, the magazines of the loyal forces are only partially filled.

The Bangor class is the Torqual main battle unit, conceived and built before the D’Bringi and the Rehorish began selling their older ships to the junior members of the Alliance.  Although similar to the Akagi(LR) class, the Bangor has more missile launchers, at the cost of point defense, passive defenses, and secondary beam weaponry.  It is intended purely for long range combat and fleet doctrine dictates that it must always be escorted by light cruisers capable of prosecuting close-in engagements.

Commander Dorris Bertholf, may not be spending valentines day with her Boo, however she did the next best thing aboard the SC Betwsyoced. Discovered a new jump point out of Sigma Phoenicis.
I am genuinely unsure which is more disturbing. Dorris' idea of fun or the name of her ship. Betwsyoced sounds like one of those names the Welsh made up as a joke but are now stuck with.

I have questions about this design. But I'm not sure this is the place for an in-depth discussion on the foibles of Aquarian ship design so I will let them pass.

4054, 30 July                  Finally the first Destroyer Escort rolls off the line the DE Carpathian, these will protect the frigates from inbound missile attacks. It a pity there system are now out of date considering we had upgraded the mahority of the sensors and Fire Controls.
Always the way. And during a Uridium crunch as well.

4057, 6 February            New System Discovered, the third Jump off the Sigma system. The System is tiny, it has 2 Planets and four moons. However one of the planet is Habitable. Average Temperature of -2 , Breathable Atmosphere, gravity of .74 of Earths. Perhaps this place is uninhabited and we can settle a Colony here. The system once again is called Cacun. WHY OH WHY. It now being renamed to the Captain Last name which is Kwiecien
Lucky captain.

4057, 12 March              The Kwiecien planet is occupied. Just my luck. We will need to sen our diplomatic vessel out here.
Unlucky Captain, cursed now to be the name of an alien race.

4057, 4 December       The 1st Fleet has returned, the DIP Alantia is on the way to Kwiecien. Nothing is happening at the Outpost, perhaps it requires more OEA Teams. Any though of Payback with the Mobile Imperium is a pipe dream.  Atleast they have not tried to invade out systems.
I look forward to the brief but exciting life of the DIP Alantia, how long till it gets blown up I wonder?

4048 - 4057

The Aquarian just did not get the ramp up of require mineral in time. Perhaps there is something said about stabilisation of Jump Points, but the Fleet wants a little bit of protection for now.

Calendar Entries of Note

4048, 1 January      Reviewing Planets it has been decided that Sigma II give us the best option to mine for minerals. It has resources across the board and they are minable plus ground survey is possible. RA and Candance has been detached from the Battle Fleet, to take out some Surveyors and a small group of defensive forces.

4048, 14 February   Commander Dorris Bertholf, may not be spending valentines day with her Boo, however she did the next best thing aboard the SC Betwsyoced. Discovered a new jump point out of Sigma Phoenicis.

4048, 29 May           While going through some old sensor logs it was discovered there was an old Earth Outpost on Noviello I, Joint Chiefs were putting together a new unit for checking this old installation. Perhaps some old tech can be rediscovered and help us in the future fights we will encounter. The new unit is call OEA Team, Old Earth Archaeologists.

4048, 13 June          The mineral Corundium has run out on Aquaria, leaving the new destroyer Escorts unable to be completed. There is 2643 coming from Aquarii III, but we need a better source.

4048, 5 August        The additional upgrades to the Amein Frigate class with the first 4 ships refitted. Upgrade to the Engine and Active and Passive Sensor arrays. Creating a slightly lighter and faster Frigate.

4048, 23 December          7th Bn, 3rd Ranger Regiment landed on Sigma II, a  number of automated mines were already hard at work digging minerals. Automated was not quite true there always a presence of a small contingent of engineers and miners, that sheltered in this hostile world. The Atmospshere was not breathable, it was on average -39 degrees  Damn Cold. Let hope there mission in protecting the Survey Company did not last forever. Lt Colonel Dante was promoted from the Regular Infantry to now managing a Battalion of Rangers. That how depleted the officer corp was, and she was not great at her job, even she knew this easily confused and flustered any time something went wrong.

4049, 4 April                    Dr Cathy Vandermolen, completed research into Ceramic Composite Armour. This is a huge upgrade how since we just upgrade our ships, troops it has been shelved until later upgrades. A real shame it was here sooner but with mineral shortage at the moment its not become a priority. However the New River Destroyer Class have not been put in the yard so it will be the first to achieve this also the new Dropship classes will receive the new armour

4049, 6 July                    The lack of Uridum has paused all ship building tasks and even mainataince stocks have stopped, we do have 1/2 million supplies not sure hwo long that will hold out.

4049, 15 August             The Battle Fleet landed 3rd Ranger Regiment mins 7th Battalion and the 1st OEA Company to investigate the outpost on Noviello I, this is a busy system so many asteroids and planets. Brigadier Hollis Wilkins looked out with his Gloomy disposition. He was promoted to Colonel on January 3, 4040 from 5th Ranger Bn. He missed the drop on Cancun IV, and he felt bad like survivors guilt. He was indecisive what to do with the Battle Fleet, however he decided to keep them for a month in orbit above just in case they needed to extract.

4049, 16 October             Dr Karol Resch finished working on Thermal Sensor Sensitivity 14, before she could organise labs for commercial reasons Dr Mildord Delph took the labs to work on Active Grav Sensor he has some new idea that could boost the signal.

4050 - 4053                   Was just shipping automated mines, and trying to get back to be able to ship build again. Govenor Adaberto Revis was heavily critized for the lack for foresight. Unable to build anything with the lack or Uridum, Corundium and Sorium, This might go on even longer.

4054, 29 January             Dr Connie Solano, developed the Far UV laser. This then added some value to point defence however our PD ships were still in dock waiting for more Urium.

4054, 30 July                  Finally the first Destroyer Escort rolls off the line the DE Carpathian, these will protect the frigates from inbound missile attacks. It a ity there system are now out of date considering we had upgraded the mahority of the sensors and Fire Controls.

4054, 28 October             The rest of the destroyer Escorts completed, we have not seem much of the Mobile Imperium, they seemed to have kept away from our system with the Bootis System being a nice buffer.

4055, 14 August              Completion of the New Laser Turrets. Our Technology is outstripping our construction ability.

4056, 12 April                 Dr Karol Resch completed work on the Improved Geo Sensors. More Jump Freighters have been completed to send automated mines out to various planets.

4056, 5 August               Dr Milford Deph retired at the age of 63. The man did not even wait around to recieve any great awards although he was deserving. His assistant Dr Karen Livergood has taken over.

4056, 19 September        It was decided to go see the Mobile imperium, as we not seen them in some time. We are sending 3 Destroyer Escorts and 4 Frigates to investigate.

4057, 12 March              The Kwiecien planet is occupied. Just my luck. We will need to sen our diplomatic vessel out here.

4057, 22 April                Captain Porfiro Sheley, decided to check out the unexplored Jump Gate, that from the Ceti system. Once he entered the new system he was astounded. The system had 11 planet 42 moons and what was crazy 676 asteroids. The Captain decided he done his quick recon and was headed back to Ceti system complete a swing by the Mobile Imperium home world and head back the Aquarian Prime. Maybe the Captain was asking for trouble.

4057, 29 May               An Update on the number of ships in the MI Fleet, 23 Destroyers, 5 Cruisers, 4 Light Escort Cruisers and a mass of other ships commercial and civilian. The Planet is defended with a number of Bam and Missile Defensive Bases. There is no one way can go again the Mobile Imperium now or ever.
