Biggest system I ever found (this is back around Aurora v5, almost exactly 10 years ago)

this is just terrifying -  it takes a significant portion of a year for any of my ships to reach anything (its about 15LY out to Brodo Asogi-A XVIII), and since its a bright supergiant (close to being a megagiant) it also has a huge no of WPs (9 so far and I'm still surveying) - real problem is that this campaign has provided very few habitables, and most of them (including the only sub 2.0 cost planet so far) are on the far side of this system from the homeworld, and the WP that leads there (JP8) is of course the one 27b km out, away from all the others :(

Planets are randomly generated, so in one game you can have Alpha Centauri with several habitable worlds and in another it will have no planets.

In my current game 36 Ophiuchi (trinary star system with 3 K type stars) has some 30 planets and over 200 moons and some 250 asteroids, four planets are bellow 2 colony cost and one is 2.4. Six more are bellow 4 colony cost with ice sheets and relatively small sizes, so good terraforming targets.

G and K stars are usually good candidates for low colony cost worlds.

From those close to the Sol and having multiple stars are Alpha Centauri, 61 Cygni, 70 Ophiuchi and 36 Ophiuchi.

36 Ophiuchi is an interesting one, all 3 starts for me had plenty of habitable planets however the secondary was 12.5 billion and the 3rd 668 billion (!) km away from the primary. The secondary had a jungle planet with an NPR which generated on it (emphasis on had). Right now I need to design a lagrange stabilizer which can cross the distance in the hopes that I can reach the 3rd star.

Overall the whole triplet have around 8 planets/moons which are habitable and have over 1bn carrying capacity. Oh and there's only 1 JP and no Lagrange points around the primary. An absolute powerhouse of a system.

Alpha Centaury is usually close to Sol, large and full of 2.00 CC planets.

The planets, moons, asteroids, etc are all generated randomly, so every game is unique. A Known Stars game uses real star systems so the stellar parameters of every system are predetermined; that does have an effect on how many bodies of what type ultimately get generated as well as their climates.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a very large system with a few habitable and super jovians from the list of known star system's?
