Migi,

Thanks for the explanation. I have created a new Command named " Overhaul Command " for ships in Training needing Overhaul. I trust that this will alleviate the problem in future.

You need to make sure the ships are not in a training command.
The training command will cause ships to take maintenance checks, going into overhaul will not prevent that.

I have 2 Military ships at Mars which have been sent to Earth for Refuel , Resupply and Overhaul - arrived 14th February. ( Put into Training Command to train , but getting warning message about in overhaul so cannot benefit from Fleet Training - not relevant to my problem )

My problem is that on 5th March whilst one of the two ships were in overhaul I received an event message which stated that a Jump Drive on one of the ships suffered a maintenance failure and repairs had been carried out which required 54.9 maintenance supplies.

Then on 15th March , i get the same failure notification for the same ship and that repairs were carried out for 54.9 supplies.

My question is - should / can vessels incur system failures if undergoing overhaul . Is this a Bug or WAD.

I always make sure they are topped up with supply before overhauling.  I have had failures and odd ship blown up before

Post a screenshot of the colony summary, it shows how many tons of ships are actually being maintained - that's what counts, not just the ones in overhaul.

Hallec & Zap0

I don't think that lack of MSP or maintenance capacity could be an issue here.

Earth is the Capital with 150,000 ton Maintenance capacity and 102,000 maintenance supplies available. At the current time there is in orbit and under overhaul 2 X GSV ships @  3,950 tons each and the 2 Mars ships @3,750 tons each , totaling 15,400 tons , way below the capacity. The only other ships around Earth are my commercial Freighters and a Colony ship which do not require supplies or maintenance facilities.

Yeah, if you don't have enough MSP or maintenance capacity the ships only get partially overhauled and can still suffer from failures.

Is it possible that you don't have enough maintenance facilities for all the ships you have docked there?  this could potentially cause something along these lines.

while they are in a training command, there is no maintenance, you have to get it out of there
