As he opened the Strikegroup frequency, Digon Bolt thought to himself, ‘here we go again.’
‘Dragon Lead to Dragon Strike, execute Plan Alpha.’
Plan Alpha meant that the 2 GOLF class cruisers had continued to close without support and Bolt’s fighters would fire 2 squadron’s worth of Arrows at each of them.
6 minutes later both GOLF’s were expanding clouds of debris and Bolt opened the strike frequency again. ‘Well done Dragon Strike, continue to close on reatreating main group, expect to be in range at 0022UST 4 Feb.’
As the strike group continued to chase down the retreating Hushnak ships, Bolt opened a low priority message that had been forwarded to him by Fleet Flag.

‘Dragon Lead to Dragon Strike, OGRE, DRAGON sqns target SLIBH, WYVERN sqn target IASC. Fire when locked.’
Bolt consulted his TACSIT, the missile run from the 3 remaining squadrons with ordinance should take 4 minutes. A small enough time to continue to close to ensure accurate strike assessment.
‘Dragon Lead to Dragon Strike, continue to close for strike assessment.’

Bolt’s TACSIT changed status as the SLIBH and the IASC exploded.
‘Dragon Lead to Dragon Strike, targets destroyed return to home plate.’
Feeling bone weary and aware that his fighters would require at least another 2 strikes to kill the last Hushnak mobile units, Bolt tried to rest as his fighter turned to make the long trip back to the carriers.

‘Dragon Lead to Dragon Strike, execute Plan Golf.’
As he watched the missiles race away from his strike group yet again, Bolt glanced at the targeting tab of his TACSIT to ensure that the Plan Golf had been properly executed; with his crews on the verge of exhaustion, a mistake was always possible.
Bolt was pleased to see that the FOSCADH, 3 SLIBHS and an IASC had all been correctly targeted.

‘Dragon Lead to Dragon Strike, all targets destroyed, return to home plate.’
As his fighters turned for home, Bolt consulted his TACSIT again. If their intelligence was correct, the Hushnak Navy only mobile units were the 2 IASC class destroyers running for their home world.

As he watched 7 squadrons of fighters begin to land on his carriers, Chief Space Marshal Trahayme Mille opened the channel to the fighter group lead.
‘Fleet Flag to Dragon Lead, well done, we’ll let the last two destroyers run for a while. Stand your crews down until 0400 6th Feb.’
The obviously tired voice of Digon Bolt came over the channel. ‘Dragon Lead acknowledges Fleet Flag.’
Mille consulted the flag TACSIT, there were 2 remaining IASC destroyers and what appeared to be 10 bases in orbit around Hushnak. 7 of the bases were of the 13200 tonne AVALON class, the other 3 were 12900 tonne DEMOLISHER class. His fleet had nearly destroyed the entirety of the Hushnak Navy. Now all he had to do was crack the final perimeter. The next fighter strike would be launched at 0630 on 6th Feb.
