I have a question on designing a two stage missile.
I have two sizes 4 missile design already see below...
Warhead strength: 1.2 for a value of 7
Fuel Capacity: 0.9 for a value of 2250
Agility: 0.4 for a value of 32
The engine I am using is 1.2 EP Magnetic-Plasma Drive and I am usig 5 of these
Cheetah AS Missile
Warhead: 7 Armour: 0 Manoeuvre Rating: 18
Speed: 30000 km/s Engine Endurance: 29 minutes Range: 53.0m km
Cost Per Missile: 3.89
Chance to Hit: 1k km/s 540% 3k km/s 180% 5k km/s 108% 10k km/s 54%
Materials Required: 1.75x Tritanium 2.14x Gallicite Fuel x2250
Development Cost for Project: 389RP
Warhead strength: 1.0 for a value of 6
Fuel Capacity: 1.1 for a value of 2750
Agility: 0.2275 for a value of 18.2

Heijahen AS Missile
Warhead: 6 Armour: 0 Manoeuvre Rating: 15
Speed: 25500 km/s Engine Endurance: 64 minutes Range: 97.3m km
Thermal Sensor Strength: 0.0822 Detect Sig Strength 1000: 82,200 km
Cost Per Missile: 3.2707
Chance to Hit: 1k km/s 382.5% 3k km/s 120% 5k km/s 76.5% 10k km/s 38.2%

My Size 6 missile 2 stage looks like this...
Warhead strength: 0.0 for a value of 0
Fuel Capacity: 0.55 for a value of 4125
Agility: 0.45 for a value of 36

Second stage is the Heijahen AS missile:
Separation Range (k) I put 95 which puts the overall range below...

It'll work....but that separation range is WAY too short; the separation range is the distance from target that the second stage(which is typically the stage that has the actual warhead) will separate from the booster and maneuver independently. What I'm assuming you're trying to do here is strap on a booster to a regular size 4 missile so you can double its range; with that in mind, make the separation range as close to the max range of the booster as you can(leave a couple mil range cushion though to allow the second stage to be able to reach retreating targets)

You need to upload the pic someplace like imgur or photobucket. Then you can use the [img] tags. The url goes between them. Otherwise you can click the + button next to additional options below and attach a file. Shows up as a paperclipped file below the post.
