March 16th, 2050
The first fuel refinery has been built.  This will actually let us use the huge deposit of sorium to make fuel.  The geological team on Mars reports that all they could find is 100 thousand tons of low accessibility tritanium, and are requesting pickup.


September 9th, 2050
A science team has finished a software upgrade for the CommNet, that makes it more efficient.  This lets the Archive handle more information, and allows us to send visual data through it real-time.  That in turn, should make certain areas more efficient; researchers can now share more data, and ground commanders can literally be in the shoes of his soldiers.  The only thing is it still takes about two weeks for survey ships to transmit data.  These updates should be in effect within the week, as it is a software update, and no further components need to be added.

February 24th, 2051
Civilian Administer NN-56-IEI, and Lieutenant Commander OS-51-AAZ were killed when the elevator leading down to the archive malfunctioned, and dropped.  An investigation is underway as to if it was simply equipment failure, or an assassination attempt.  In any case, they will be melted down, and re-programmed in the factory as soon as the investigation is over.  In other news, a second fuel refinery has been constructed, but the fuel shortage is still plaguing the ships.  No new ships will be queued for construction until this situation is dealt with.  A new ship has been designed; a 800 ton shuttle with a flag bridge.  It is designed to properly transport a task force to any location intra system.

February 29th, 2052
Earths supply of Tritanium has been exhausted.  Fortunately, the geological team has found several large deposits of materials on a asteroid.  Also, work on improving missile magazines has been started.  The next generation of missile bases will be here by 10 years.

March 12, 2054
Research on improved magazines have greatly refined the reloading mechanism, and also added additional protection.  If a magazine is damaged enough, it will automatically disconnect, along with any missiles in it, to prevent a catastrophic explosion.  This is, of course, not guaranteed, so it is also made from duranium plating.  In addition to this, a new missile base has been designed, using all the technological discoveries achieved from almost twenty years of development.  The Matsilo Missile Base bolsters an impressive battery of 10 missile launchers, and two enormous magazines, each the size of a Galana class survey ship.  Alongside this armament, it has a area sensor array, and a missile targeting system using active grav sensor technology.  Finally, it has a damage control rating of 30, meaning that is can perform repairs in-between attacks, even if they are required to be evacuated.  Construction of these mighty bases will be postponed until tritanium levels reach normal levels again.  Recovery teams are now focusing on pebble bed reactor data.

March 17th, 2054
While we have been focusing on restoring The Archive, we have not devoted any time on studying The Factory,  or any of the more advanced systems we have been built with, but not activated.  This has ignited a wildfire, and almost everyone agrees that we should refine our bodies further.

June 21st, 2054
Five automated mines have been constructed, and Bath Iron works has been expanded yet again, this time to build the much more reliable Mamba class Cargoship.   Incorporating damage control systems, and numerous failsafes,  it is much different than the first attempted launch.  On that topic, it’s wreck still is somehow in orbit around Earth.  Back on subject, it’s first task, after one is built, is to transport a mass driver and the five automated mines to a rather rich mining site on one of the inner asteroid belts.

October 22nd, 2054
The first Mamba class cargoship is under construction.  This marks a new stage of achievement; mineral shortages on Earth will be solved.  The drones are promoting industrial expansion, and we are increasing the amount of construction factories, ordinance factories, and fuel refineries.

March 21st, 2055
The first Mamba class Cargo Ship is launched.  She is immediately assigned a captain, and prepares to load sections of the automated mine.

August 26th, 2055
Scientists have created a patch that allows us to access a built in HUD, this amazing software update will improve the efficiency of almost every major industry, including ground combat.  As this is only an update, we can distribute it through the CommNet to every drone within a few days.

October 2nd, 2055
Pebble bed reactor data has been retrieved.  A high output nuclear reactor, it is much more stable than pressurized water reactors, and has an average increase of 55% more power generated than a similar sized pressurized water reactor.

August 6th,  2056
Our teams have recovered  a file that will revolutionize space travel.  “HyperDrive” is an attachment to an engine that “warps” space around the ship, effectively allowing us to go faster than light.  With a powerful enough engine, even interstellar flight may be possible.  The only drawback is that all engines equipped with hype drive are roughly twice as large, and it can not be used near any large mass; such as stars.

February 2nd, 2058
Our data recovery teams have recovered orbital habitat technology.  While this normally wouldn’t be of much use to drones, it has been modified to have recharging stations, as well as a smaller, albeit less efficient version of The Factory.  Each habitat module weighs roughly two hundred and fifty thousand tons, but they can be built planet side, and assembled in orbit.  They also have small engines that can be used to reposition them, although they are slower than most planets, and will have to wait and intercept them to get in orbit of other planets.

October 19th, 2059
The first manned test flight of hyper drive has officially started.  Right now, the results are astonishing.  It appears that in effect, a craft equipped with hyper drive can fly at ten time normal speed.  The results were about to be sent, when one of the test crew had an idea.  “What if we surrounded the signal with a hyper field?”.  The crew made the modifications, jury rigging their hyper drive to support this, and the message was sent.  It included their report on the test flight, as well as a new use for it, and how to carry out the upgrades.  A few hours later, and mission command sends a return message.  This will revolutionize the commnet,

January 1st, 2060
CommNet has just came back online after adding hyper drive assisted transmission compatibility.  Any ship with hyper drive can now send signals at ten times normal speed.  Overall, these ten years have been quite long, but with a next generation missile silo finished, things are looking up for the odds of success for the mission.  With a new comet mining operation, the mineral rich comets so commonly passing through Sol will become a valuable asset.
