What does the Armour pulldown on a Magazine do?

I'm designing a new magazine to take advantage of some recent tech improvements.
I observe that:
- the Feed System Efficiency affects the capacity per HS.
- the Magazine Ejection System affects the explosion chance
- the HTK field trades capacity per HS for improved HTK
And the Armour pulldown has no effect that I can see. It doesn't seem likely that that pulldown would be there if it didn't do something. What am I overlooking?

magazines always use the best armor, so its just a left over feature from earlier probably. The armor used factors into the HTK-size calculation that determines how much capacity you give up for each point of HTK.

Cool. That makes sense. And it explains why I was unable to reproduce the magazine I'd made earlier with lower armor tech. That was kind of driving me nuts. Thanks.
