So I explained it two posts ago. Maintenance ship has the ability to pull&push cargo with its on board cargo shuttle bays. So it pulls from supply ships and maintains the fleet.

Edit: After he pulled the maintenance ship away transfer has stopped.
Yes, again? I know this, and I still have no idea why you're pointing it out.

I think I have no idea what you meant by:
The thing is they don't. They are maintained in the maintenance modules on the maintenance ship with cargo bays. That ship can pull MSP from cargo bayless supply ship. So the chain goes full circle.
But also that you seem to have misunderstood my post immediately before it somehow.

"They don't" part is wrong, you are right. That sentence must have been "They do". It seemed like I was opposing your idea. But still, I feel my explaination was clear.

With that correction I can see where we got started. My phrasing was unclear - yes, we know now that a maintenance ship with shuttles can take MSP from a supply ship without them! What I meant was non-obvious was whether that was the behavior we should have expected.

Why not? It seems very intentional to me. Think about it with colonies without cargo hubs. Ships with bays can still make transfers with them.

Sorry guys I missed your previous posts.

Here's the maintenance ship:

Code: [Select]
MV Danzig 003  (Danzig class Maintenance Vessel)      56.515 tons       480 Crew       2.054.2 BP       TCS 1.130    TH 120    EM 0
106 km/s      Armour 1-131       Shields 0-0       HTK 72      Sensors 0/0/0/0      DCR 1      PPV 0
MSP 3.222    Max Repair 200 MSP
Cargo Shuttle Multiplier 2
Korvettenkapitan    Control Rating 1   BRG
Intended Deployment Time: 3 months
Maintenance Modules: 8 module(s) capable of supporting ships of 16.000 tons

Heckel-Aulbach Commercial Nuclear Pulse Engine  EP120.00 (1)    Power 120    Fuel Use 0.89%    Signature 120    Explosion 2%
Fuel Capacity 10.000.000 Litres    Range 3.560.9 billion km (388807 days at full power)
Refuelling Capability: 50.000 litres per hour     Complete Refuel 200 hours

This design is classed as a Commercial Vessel for maintenance purposes

Here's the supply ship without the Cargo bay:
Code: [Select]
TK Deutschland 003  (Deutschland class Tanker)      9.564 tons       49 Crew       257.3 BP       TCS 191    TH 120    EM 0
627 km/s      Armour 2-40       Shields 0-0       HTK 28      Sensors 0/0/0/0      DCR 1      PPV 0
MSP 816    Max Repair 20 MSP
Korvettenkapitan    Control Rating 1   BRG
Intended Deployment Time: 24 months

Heckel-Aulbach Commercial Nuclear Pulse Engine  EP120.00 (1)    Power 120    Fuel Use 0.89%    Signature 120    Explosion 2%
Fuel Capacity 5.000.000 Litres    Range 10.531.4 billion km (194403 days at full power)
Refuelling Capability: 50.000 litres per hour     Complete Refuel 100 hours

Fichtner & Schulenburg Sensor Systems Active Search Sensor AS20-R100 (1)     GPS 1200     Range 20.3m km    Resolution 100

This design is classed as a Commercial Vessel for maintenance purposes

My idea is the following: As a ship designed as tanker (but without a Refuelling system) cannot refuel other ships (neither orbiting a planet nor at the space), the same should apply for the MPS.
My supply ship cannot actually resupply any ship because it lacks of Cargo bay, so why and how is the maintenance ship sucking MSP from the supply ship if this has not the ability to do it?

Because cargo and fuel are handled differently. Think about a RL tanker without any kind of system to get its fuel out. It can not make the transfer. But if a goods truck does not have, say handcarts, the depot or the other truck may have it. So in your case your maintenance ships cargo bays were doing the job. It's still a good idea to refit supply ships to include cargo bays because in this shape you can not use them independently.
