Age of Exploration: Introduction
« on: December 03, 2011, 12:19:09 PM »
January 7th, 1919

When the dust had settled after WWI, Germany emerged victorious.  Rebellions formed across the world because of their countries failing to beat Germany.  The Queen of England was overthrown, and fled with the Royal Navy to the Province of Canada, essentially turning it into a naval powerhouse.  A similar fate awaited France, and their government retreated to their African colonies, extremely weak.  The United States of America is suffering from a great recession, and is on the brink of an all out civil war.  Russia has been  divided in two, however the new country is a vassal state of the Soviet Union.

February 11th, 1919

A brilliant  theoretical scientist named Elric VonStauffer has risen to popularity from his most recent document, detailing a very solid theory that there exists minerals near the core of many planets and celestial bodies, that bear the effects from another dimension.  These minerals, if they so exist, would be greatly valuable strategically for Germany.  An exploratory mineshaft is being bored out this moment, to prove this claim.

Word spreads quickly when something of this gravity is released to the public, and other nations are also  digging mineshafts to try and beat the Germans to it, but they do have a slight head start.  The race to learn the secrets of this technology has now officially started.

Still going to do the "10 year episodes" layout for this one too Christ, those would be long episodes... i'll just do them till a major event ends. They will be alot longer since there are four nations.
