Decoy and AI

So i just came up with another idea but i am not sure if it will work
I am designing a small but extremely fast ship with huge engine.  On the ship the only engine some fuel and a minelayer.  I already Planed 2 mine to be drop , a super large active sensor that i think should draw attention to the decoy and another one that is loaded with group of smart warhead to takeout smaller scout investigating.  The ship will run at low speed to lower the signature and maybe cloakng too.  Then after it put the decoy it will circle the area at max to create lot of heat sig the speed away at first sign of danger.  I got a design on the drawing board but am not sure if it will work.  Only problem now is i got to makesure it can fuel with other ship fast as the ship hold fuel for a few day only.  Any suggestion are welcome :)
