Getting Started With Aurora
« on: November 30, 2007, 08:32:29 AM »
Just Installed Aurora and when looking at some of the windows they appear truncated. Is there a display setting I need to change.

Thanks
Len

1280x1024 resolution I believe. Some of the windows have up/down arrows to shift information, but not all.

Hi there

I've just started as well. I'm in 1280 x 1024 but I'm losing the right hand edge off of several screens (Economics for example) and the bottom on some others as well.

You don't have any bars docked to the sides? I run 1280x1024 at work and can see the whole screen.

On the main menu bar, try "Reset Window Positions". I don't recall exactly where it lives, but it's there.

Does your video card and monitor support 1280 by 1024 resolution? I know older monitors(before yr 2000) may not support that high of a resolution. :?:

I have a new 17Inch HP Laptop, and it only does 1440 x 990 so I can't see the full screen either.  Pain

Monitor is an HP f1503 and have had it since 2003. I have it set at max it will allow. Any help would be appreciated. It is frrustrating not to get to the right on those windows.

Thanks

Unfortunately the minimum resolution is 1280x1024. At home I use a 1600x1200 primary monitor and a 1280x1024 secondary monitor for Aurora so I programmed for the monitors I had. I tried adding some up/down buttons to move the windows but for some windows-related reason that didn't work and the windows still got chopped off. Perhaps another option is for me to add some hot keys that scroll all the controls on a window up and down but it would be a struggle to play if you kept having to do that.
