Hmmm, I was planning to invade a opponents homeworld... My 7 armored and 1 mechanized division is not going to survive long, I think... Enemy ground troops are at: C5146  :o Must bee the biggest number I ever seen. Oh well I got several thousand of my Anti fighter missile. strength 3 should be OK at ground targets...  ::)

Why would yo invade a HOMEWORLD with such meager forces and not even pound it first ?

Can you  show  his "design view" or "Full Summary" tab ?

Well it has its uses - you could use him as exploration ship and drop a company to take over some listening post discovered or smallish colony.

I think its a bad idea to remove PDC's.  :'(

I always liked the idea of a giant planetary defence center being build, replacing that with building ground forces will make games less detailed and with less options :(

So i saved my UNSC game yesterday..
I come home from work, i start Aurora and im greeted by those two lovely errors


And i cant frakking continue my game and last 10 hours of playing just went to smeg :/
Just frakking kill me now.....

Re #2: really? I can burn fuel harvester and asteroid miner morale down to 25% and it doesn't affect their output at all?

As a side effect, there is no reason to have more than 3 month deployment time on all commercial ships?

IIRC morale counts only when performing action that needs a dice roll. Commercial vessels perform no said action so its irrelevant. And yes, 3 months is enough.

Ad 1 - I have no idea, tugging something with fuel was always bugged iirc.

Ad 2 - shore leave counts only for military ships, commercials can ignore it.

Those DDLs should be delivered over Windows Update long time ago. They are part of Universal CRT.

Your link directs me to Visual C++ 2015 which i already have ...
BUT i searched for Universal CRT and found an update that actually made my Wrapper start.
Thats weird as hell i never had to do that before.

Okay, so as the subject states.
I cant get Wrapper to start ever since i switched back to Win7.
It always return the error about not having a api-ms-win-core files and then switches to fatal error about python35.dll and error cod 998...

Dependency Walker shows that im missing those files :


What are they ? What do i download to get them all ? Or do i have to download them one at the time from dll sites ?
I have all the common stuff like Net Framework, XNA, Visual C++, DirectX etc, every other game both new and old work fine ( except Distant Worlds which simply crashes on start :( ), only Wrapper refuses to work...

So it's a Heisenbug.

Nope, i cant play Aurora anymore becuase that bug shows up everytime build a ship ...

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i start by Aurora exe and not by Wrapper ( because it refuses to work since i switched to Windows 7 :/ )

EDIT : I fixed the missing dll file but wrapper STILL wont play, it shows me this bug and main game still has those bugs i mentioned before.
I surrender, i will just wait for C# Aurora ... :(   :'( :'( :'(

EDIT 2 : installing Python have not helped :/


Okay, turns out that those in game bugs were the fault of the starting a game without a Wrapper..
Once i manually switched to UK regional settings bot Portable and normal Aurora work ...
Praise the Lord.

I've started to get bugs like that recently ...

Havent even left Sol, no pre generated NPR's, all spoilers on. :/ I have only one ship in the air - small geo scout that counts as fighter.

Its impossible to continue and bug like that appears anytime i try to open task group menu or ships menu.

EDIT : It dissapeared .. WTF.

In SM mode, you can make a race forget tech down to the basics, so you could grant the humans marine tech, create a few battalions for the assault, and afterwards remove the tech and disband the battalions.

Since when ?

I know you can delete user designed components like missiles, FC's, sensors etc but to actually remove tech ?
