^Thanks...this was the issue. The tactical background option was not checked.

Are the windows actually closing or just being sent to the background (behind the tactical map)? Try ticking the "Keep tactical map in background" box on the main window, and check if the windows appear when you mouse over the Aurora icon in your taskbar.

^Yes. I can confirm that shift+left click makes no difference. It doesn't even permit 2 of the same window to remain open.

Any ideas as to what the windows setting may be?

I know in  C# it is possible to have multiple windows open at once...but how? Every time I click on a new window, any window that is already open automatically closes. So for instance, if I have the Colony window open and then I click on the Fleet Org window, the Colony window will disappear.

Even the Galactic Map window closes everything else down.

Thanks.

What you describe is strange, by your description by opening any window you close previously opened one even if it is completely different window. I can for sure have open both Colony window and Fleet org at the same time. In fact I can have all the windows from topbar opened at the same time. Only window that prevents opening of other windows is Medal Creation.

What AlStar sugests is used to have two same windows open at the same time.

This seems like some strange setting in your Windows OS setting.

It's shift+left click to force a second window open.
