i believe you can also cause wrecks to go Unknown if you delete their design, so be careful about that.

Is there a way to figure out  the class of some unknown wrecks? With sensors, some team or a salvager? What about meeting live ship of the same class, are those wrecks then noted as of given class? Or do wrecks of NPR ships of classes you have not met yet sill get named and all those unknown class wrecks are from long time ago so you can't meet alive ship of that unknown class?
