Function #3239: Object reference not set to an instance
« on: August 12, 2021, 07:44:35 AM »
What causes this bug? And is it any bad?  I am periodicall saving the DB files and I can regress, but it is getting more frequent. I have no idea what I am doing though and cannot reproduce it.

Do you have any NPR active? If so it must be that.

Back up the DB and edit to control NPR. There are probably some issues with any order/refuel instances.

Do starting NPRs I have not encountered count? If yes there should be 5 I guess.

Which db editor is the editor of choice? #plsnoeditorwar

Thanks for your input so far. There seems to be a lot of strange stuff going on with the NPRs.

1. How do they maintain 4M tons of military vessels with 0.27M tons of maintenance capacity?
1a. How do they manage to build up such a stockpile of MSP this way?
2. There is no fleet around with any strange orders. Some are completely out of fuel, especially some mining fleets. That should not be problematic from my point of view though.

Mmmm, this could actually be it.

EDIT: As I remember coming across this one once (hence my idea of looking for NPRs straight away) I did spend a few minutes to find the relative post. Maybe it will help you out.
