I played for some ~70 years now, and I turtled pretty hard, only 20 sistems explored, and some 5 colonized. as a result of this, my civilians ended up clogging up the game with a grand total of 1038 ships, so I never got to test my fleet. I also didn't put any NPRs, so I was counting on finding Star Swarm to maybe thin them out, but I didn't find them, and I couldn't spawn them for some reason, not sure they are implemented.
Anyway, the regular Terran Battlegroup is comprised of 2 Yamato class Battleships, 4 Curdistan class Cruisers, 6 Norway class Destroyers, and 4 Armenia class destroyer escorts, along with an apropriate number of Yoguslavia class tankers.

I made it so that the group is able to take on, and hopefully capture even the larger vessels we might encounter. We follow a very flexible beam doctrine, and wether we try to kite the enemy around, or brawl to the death, depends a lot of the enemy we face, although the range of our weapons certainly prefer a brawl. I had never used microwaves before, and wanted to experiment, but im starting to lose my patience with the civilians, and also dont have the patience to go around deleting or killing all the ships one by one. tell me what you think of this fleet and this arrangement, and if there are any glaring flaws in design you think could be adjusted in future playthroughs

Udpate: I found a fight for my fleet, a precursor base, classic missile defence base, and beam defense base. could almost ignore the damage, of  the 54 missiles maybe 4 made it to the shields, and my microwaves did wonders to disable them, allowing my marine companies to take them with minimal casualties. my marine boarding teams were a bit too small to do it alone.
