I noticed a similar thing with one of my PD ships.  Everything else was firing except it.

Yes, that might be the cause. I always reset my PD configuration after engaging something with AAM's.

Hmm that might be an interesting bug. I know that something about issue targets/cease fire can sometimes interfere with pd mode, and by clearing the targeting info you cleared whatever problem was causing your ships to not fire.

Apparently I'm too new to edit.

Now it's back to normal.  I've shot down a few volleys by assigning targets manually, then clearing the targets after they were destroyed / or enough missiles  were on the way.  I've noticed that my Baltimore are now back on duty, obediently firing their AMM.

Anyone can explain what happened ?? I almost lost my three cruisers before i realized that the AMM were not being fired as usual.

Hello everyone,

I discovered Aurora a few days ago, and am enjoying it immensely.

I'm right now in the middle of a combat against a small group of robotic overlords.  Initially there were 2 groups of three ships, separated by about 60m km.

I've destroyed the first group of three ships.  My missile PD performed automatically without any issue.  Enemy salvoes were 3 x 5 missiles.  If i remember correctly, at most 2 of their missiles got through my PD.

Now fighting the second group, for some reason **some** of my PD ships are not firing.  If I assign targets manually, it works (which shows that there's no issue in design i guess), but it's tedious, and result in massive overkill.

I have three designs, all of which had some AMM.  They're all in one Task Group.

3 x  New York CA [out of AMM ammo, used to perform well]
7 x Baltimore DD [12 AAM tubes & 3 FC per ship]
--| Plenty of AMM ammo, supposed to be my escort, NOT FIRING
2 x Wickes DL [8 AMM tubes & 2 FC per ship]
--| My sensor ships, almost out of AMM ammo, still firing automatically.

Enemy salvoes are 3 x 7 = 21 missiles.  I'm asking my PD ships to fire 3 AMM per target missile.  So they should fire 63 AMM.  They fire 8. . .

I guess i'm forgetting something simple and obvious, but what ??

in the F8 screen :

Wickes [PD firing automatically]
Code: [Select]
LckOn AAM A #1 (3v1 PD Mode 906):   No Target Assignment
AAM Fast Launchers #1 - AAM-1 (Ready To Fire)
AAM Fast Launchers #2 - AAM-1 (Ready To Fire)
AAM Fast Launchers #3 - AAM-1 (5 secs to reload)
