Now you've got me thinking about Robert Frost and this is hard to resist...
Two jump points diverged in a yellow star system,
And sorry I could not transit both
And be one scout ship, long I held course
And headed for one as long as I could
To where it lay in the asteroid belt;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was closer and unexplored;
Though as for that the system survey
Had found them really about the same,
And both that morning equally led
to systems no ship had yet explored.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how jump point leads on to jump point,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two jump points diverged in a system, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And now I'm in a life pod!
