Yes, enter SM mode and you can individually promote and demote officers from the Leaders window.  Alternatively, you can lower the officer rank requirement on some of the ships you are building.  Changing the staff rank requirements on the ships appears to work fine retroactively.

It's random which branch a new officer is added to. If you just want one added to a specific branch then just immediately retire the ones that are added that are not in that branch.

IIRC Officer details can only be edited if you have the database password, via modifying their values within the database directly.

I would like to add a singel leader to my Civillian administrator class, well also later to the military class, is that possible, I know I can use the button Add Extra but that would give all types, or? Also can I modify there age, sex and son on?
