Going to a gunfight with a plastic spoon...
« on: November 20, 2015, 12:24:40 AM »
I played a marathon game for about 17 hours yesterday with my first long game enough to jump to another system
and get a survey ship erased by a hostile nuclear missile.   Then, being an idiot, i spent hours researching and then
building a few nice large crusiers and went back to find the culprits.   But being an idiot and without enough sleep I
sent them in without any missiles on board.   Easy to figure out what happened next... :P

It is justified to spawn missiles out of nowhere to fix a mistake like that, we've all done it before.

That's basically the same thing, the next step is usually forgetting the fuel tanks or maybe fire controls.

Or the deployment time. "What? I just built these ships, how is their morale failing because they exceeded deployment time!?"
"Because you only set it to 3 months, Admiral Dork Face."

Only realised I'd equipped my battlecruiser with box launchers instead of normal launchers when they failed to reload during a battle.  Would have been embarrassing if I hadn't brought a division of cruisers along as well (which were designed properly.)

Now I have to decide on if I swap out the launch rails for proper launchers, or ditch the 140 missile magazine for more launch rails.
