Site outage

Some of y'all might have noticed the site was inaccessible for the last 12 hours or so. Obviously it is fixed now. The domain host did an upgrade on the php version and that borked up the mysql logins (don't ask me how).

And I will be out of town Oct 1 to Oct 5, so response times will be incredibly spotty.

We really need an alternative form of news posting for times like this.

Twitter? An IRC channel? Something else?
