Not to hijack the thread, but I had a question I thought fit here nicely.

So my civies decided to build about half a dozen fuel harvesters at my home world, which has been mined out of Sorium for about 5 years now. They're pretty much just sitting about constantly trying to "Move to Sorium Site..." but never reaching it. I have tugs for my other fuel harvesters, so should I just tow to a gas giant? I'm not planning on buying civilian fuel so it isn't critical, but expanding my economy is never a bad thing.

Civilians use their own designs in this version, so you don't need to prepare designs for them. So they will construct what they need, colony ships, freighters, fuel harvesters and some space liners.

What version are you running? I know in the new versions of the game civilians only use their own designs.   They also automagically upgrade them and scrap older designs

Ok update - both shipping companies have begun to ship colonists and facilities.

Neither are using my commercial designs though, is this because there is a flaw in them.

They are using their own design of ships.

I have a colony on Luna with a demand for 10 Automines, 10 Infrastructure and 30 Construction Factories.   I have the same mirrored as supply on Earth.

For the life of me I can't see why it wouldnt be picked.   I have two shipping lines, none of which have any ships at all
