Click the auto turn button two times and it should stop.

Yes, you need to click twice. However, you can click once as soon automated turns start and then do the second click when you need it to stop. That is completely reliable.

At some point I need to figure out why the two clicks are needed :)

It is very likely that this is OS dependant (Like, different Versions of Windows might handle this differently) and i doubt that this one will be easy to fix. clicking twice works nice for me, thank you

If it helps with bugsquishing, the first click can be anywhere in any Aurora game window.  Before the first click, on my machine, my mouse cursor is the Windows 10 "stand by" circle.

Is it possible that the first click is needed to set focus?

It seems you (or something) is changing the mouse cursor to the hourglass. The first click put the pointer back to the arrow.
