« on: June 27, 2007, 02:21:44 PM »
1st Jan 1888
Survey Fleet A is given orders to move through the jump point near Saturn orbit. This transit is expected around the 19th or 20th.
Survey Fleet B is ordered to survey planetary bodies in the solar system for more Trans-Newtonian elements.

13th Jan 1888
A message is received from Captain Luther G?rtz, CO of Survey Fleet B. Venus has 17.5 million tons of duranium, 13.6 million tons of neutronium, 29.6 million tons of corbomite, and 131,856 tons of tritanium.

20th Jan 1888
Survey Fleet A transits into the Washington system. It is a dual star system with a K4-V as the primary and a T6-VII as the secondary. Two planets orbit Washington A, a small chunk of rock and an Earth-like planet which will need investigation by SF-B. SF-A starts to conduct their survey for jump points.

26th Jan 1888
Westinghouse announces they have developed an improved gearing ratio for turrets. The Solar League Navy is delighted by the news as this will reduce the size of turrets.

30th Jan 1888
Captain G?rtz sends a message to Earth that Jupiter has 715,000 tons of sorium.

1st Apr 1888
Bryant Electric announces they?ve increased the computational speeds of their fire control systems. These systems will now be able to track faster targets.

1st July 1888
SF-B has finished their analysis of the Sol system. They are ordered to the Washington system next. They plot course for Earth for a quick fuel top-off and then to Washington.

16th Aug 1888
The Jump Drive division of Lycoming Space Engines announces they?ve increased the efficiency of their drives. Future Lycoming Jump Drives will be smaller for the amount of tonnage they enable to transit.

21st Oct 1888
Marlin Arms announces they?ve doubled the firing rate of their Guided Torpedo Launchers.

1st Nov 1888
SF-B finds no minerals of note on either planet in the Washington system. They head back to Sol, and then to the jump point in Uranus orbit.

1st Feb 1889
Edison International announces a new type of power reactor. This new reactor will provide a 33% increase in power production on ships.

6th Mar 1889
SF-B enters the New York system. The system has one K0-IV star with a single terrestrial planet in orbit. Also in the system are a half dozen comets.

26th Mar 1889
SF-B reports that the single planet in the New York system has 345,000 tons of neutronium, 16 million tons of boronide, 3.1 million tons of sorium, 2.6 million tons of uridium, and 5 million tons of gallicite.

6th Apr 1889
For his work in the recent survey operations, Captain Luther G?rtz has been promoted to Commodore.
