Sorry for the misunderstanding

Just checked : all the 6 ruins and the 3 identified NPRs in my current game are indeed located on "Terrestrial" planets.

I meant terrestrial as the body type in the system display, as opposed to chunk, dwarf, gas giant, etc. Mars, Mercury, Luna, Earth, Venus, and several outer moons are all listed as terrestrial in the game.

If by "terrestrial", you mean "rocky", of course.

If you mean "earth-like", then not at all :

Ruins may be found on mars-like planets or even atmosphere-less bodies. You will eventually find them during the routine full geoscan of any system.

NPRs are a bit more picky, they at least require a breathable atmosphere. The one I've found so far were always oxygen breathers, but some of their home planets cannot be classified as earth-like due to extreme conditions - high gravity or far below water freezing point temperatures.

I'll check the data in my current game later to give more accurate informations.

They can only be generated on terrestrial worlds?
