Hi, just curious on something recent discussion of missile design has had me thinking about.
When a missile strikes already damaged armour, and falls in a location that partially overlaps a pre existing damage "crater", how is the damage assigned?
For example, a WH 9 missile strikes a section of armour, centered on column 5, O is functional armour, X has been destroyed.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
O O X X X X X O O
O O O X X X O O O
O O O O X O O O O
O O O O O O O O O
O O O O O O O O O
Now say a second WH 9 missile strikes centered on column three, does the damage just fall to the first undamaged row in its respective column, or does it blossom out from the center of the strike?
eg. falling
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
X X X X X X X O O
O X X X X X O O O
O O X X X O O O O
O O X X X O O O O
O O O O O O O O O
eg. blossom
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
O O X X X X X O O
X X X X X X O O O
O X X X X O O O O
O O X O O O O O O
O O O O O O O O O
Mostly just curious as the general mechanics of it
