You should be able to use http://www.dependencywalker.com/ to figure out which DLL are missing and copy those to the Aurora folder on the flash drive.

Edit: Except that it's not just DLL that it needs.

You could put the Aurora.CAB, setup.exe and SETUP.LST files from the AuroraInstall491.zip on the flash drive. Then run setup.exe to install the required system files on any system that hasn't had Aurora installed yet.

EDIT: . . . There are a few missing . dll issues.  Going to have to experiment more.

Aurora is reliant on a whole bunch of old DLLs. The (possibly) easiest way around it is to install Aurora on every computer you want to run it off and then run the copy on your flash drive.

I regularly run Aurora from a flash drive. Every so often I do get a corrupted file, but if I save the database and reinstall its fine. Its great for moving Aurora from one PC to another.

This is true, but I'll simply reiterate: if you have a good internet connection, you can just run it on dropbox-- the files will update automatically between computers as you change them.

I've done some experimenting.   If I install it anywhere on my Windows 7x64 or XPx86 machines, I can then copy the whole /program files/Aurora folder onto a flash drive and then run it from either computer! Naturally, I run the Aurora.  exe on the drive, not the normally installed one.

You'd need to install it to the flash drive...

you can probably launch it from any directory in which the game is installed... have you considered Dropbox?  This little company is fantastic, and I keep my whole life on dropbox.  Perfect for aurora.

Can I keep my database on a flash drive and launch it from there? How?
