« on: July 24, 2017, 07:23:03 PM »For some reason I have once again started to have to take up arms against the auto assignment system for commanders. For some reason I am getting R5 officers being assigned to ships that have a R3 minimum requirement, this is while not bothering to staff ships that have an actual R5 requirement at all. I recall vaguely seeing something about a 3 rank gap or such whereby officers are available to choose, so does this mean you need to pad out your rank structure with dummy ranks? Also why is it that in this case at least a large military ship with a R5 requirement is being left with an empty commanders seat when I have at least 6 R5 officers doing nothing in the academy?
