Ahh that takes me back to my early VB6 days when i got multiple cases of perfect colony candidates... orbiting second star trillions of km from the Jump Points without and LPs.
Its always a pain to see smeg like that.

Dude, I'm still playing 1.00. None of the annoying bugs have affected me, and I'm enjoying my game. I'll go back to filing bug reports after I'm annoyed at this game, or a cool new feature comes in.

lucky you :-(

I'm personally going with the versions until I feel that the game is stable enough and use this time to get used to interface and test the game mechanics out so I don't really care that I need to start over and over again.
I'm starting to be quite fast at generating all the designs and setting up the start

In 1.0 I had Venus with about 50 mil 1.0 Duranium and 20m mil 0.9 Sorium and some "smaller amounts" of other minerals with 0.5+ accessibility.

My other games on newer versions have been zip zil nada

I fired up a game on v1.4, and started surveying.  Luna has 5M minerals with average .5 accessibility - about twice as much as Earth.  And Mars has a ruined city with construction/production +90% research bonus.

I want to stay on the current release but it's so hard letting those ruins go...

Wasn't Luna and Mars modified on VB6 to generate fewer minerals and avoid players to stay on Sol for too long before starting to explore? It may be changed considering the new spoil races are far harder to deal with...

My first 1.0 game, Alpha Centauri had a colony cost 0 superEarth.

My 1. 30 game: a fully habitable world in a system next door to Sol with 8 high availability minerals, and a ruin in a separate neighboring system

My 1. 40 game: a desolate, planetless void (about 50% of the systems I discovered had no orbiting bodies) with only one terraformable colony location two jumps away.

That's just the classic luck of the draw in Aurora.    Perhaps a bit of Steve's poker side coming through.   .   .    off to v1. 50 I guess!
