« on: September 15, 2009, 05:57:15 PM »I didn't write my experience up. It was in a 3.x version. The initial fleet I sent through was around 30 ships. I was not expecting defenders and got mauled. I lost ~20 to their 10-15. My ships were mostly missile boats and escorts. The only saving point was the command ships carried laser batteries instead of missiles. The enemy did run from me at the JP, which I think lead to their downfall. The opened range took them out of theirs and let my missiles take them down at will. Of course, after that incident, I stationed the remaining functional ships on their side of the JP, and crash built another fleet for the original purpose of taking out their homeworld.
My ships at the time had 3-5pts of armor, which is not nearly enough. More armor = more goodness.
