Several factions are in need of new leaderships or have interesting vacant positions to fill!

(note: Xenophon's systems have since been renamed from their placeholder starting names)

The Factions:
Jehtmuria A fractious bunch of anarchists, somewhat more united than previously due to recent events, but still a haven for the individual, join this faction if you want to do your own thing rather than pursue a fully cohesive strategy at all times.
Xenophon's Host Greeks, IN SPAACE. in actuality these are descendents of the first human empire's military survivors, returned from cryo-stasis only a couple generations ago. Join this faction if you like military dictatorships and a society permanently on a war footing.
The Keepers Collective A collective of space cyborgs networked together. Not quite a group consciousness, but close. Join this faction if you like collective action and possibly abominations of science.
The Republic of Draco Claim to be the only sane faction, might even be true? A unified republic of three worlds, reduced since the move to their new home. Join this faction if you want to be in a culture closer to ones you might know from real life.
The Holy Galactic Catholic Church Does not really resemble actual Catholicism. Are religious though. A smaller faction intended as a balancing, or tipping force. Join this faction if you like religious talk and diplomacy.
Secret A newcomer to the scene, human, militarized, immediately conflicted with those it encountered, possibly currently at peace. Join this faction if you want a surprise.

Panopticon Update: Being the initial system discovered by the survivors in their so far successful flight from the Exterminators as well as host to an ideally habitable world and large amount of jump points, the Panopticon system naturally formed a central hub connecting the factions even as they sought their own space. Thus, even without official diplomatic communication, news filters between factions through the civilian population, commercial shipping chatter, and even military ships chatting with each other as they navigate through.
The de facto owner of the system was the Church, much expanded from its prewar status into a TN power of its own. Its status as the power in control of the hub system naturally placed it in a diplomatic role, which its own tendencies supported anyway. Despite strong security measures, this also became another factor for minor information to leak.

The starting system is Panopticon, all factions will have their main base there by default on the habitable world. If you decide you want the majority of your population in a different system that can be done and infrastructure for the pop will be provided, however no other worlds are getting home word minerals rolled so you'll need to work that out with shipping or mining bases.
