Are you sure about the size?
I?m asking, because a freighter of mine, which has a cargo capacity of 30k is currently carrying a automatic mine and the ship screen tells me in the cargo screen: 1 Automated Mine, 5000 free
This seems to indicate, that the automine only takes 25k of cargo space.
Also, said 30k cargo ship can carry 0.06 Research Lab with no free capacity left (again, according to the cargo screen on the ships page) which leads me to belive, that a reslab takes 500k of cargo space
Each transportable facility requires 50,000 units of cargo space. The facilities that make be transported are:
Research Labs (4 components per lab for a total of 200,000 cargo)
Maintenance Facilities
Construction Factory
Automated Mine
Mine
Mass Driver
Fuel Refinery
Ordnance Factory
Fighter Factory
Tracking Station (also called Deep Space Tracking Station)
Each item that is constructed requires a build cost equal to the mineral cost. For example, a Shipyard complex requires 1200 Duranium and 1200 Neutronium, for a total cost of 2400. One construction factory will require 240 years at the base rate to complete the yard. Of course, multiple factories will reduce this time. Two factories will only need 120 years for a shipyard.
*edit* combined transportation and build rates into the list.
Just noticed something odd. Wealth creation rates and research points.
5/annum - 1000
10/annum - 10000
15/annum - 15000
20/annum - 20000
24/annum - 3000 ()
30/annum - 5000 ()
I'm unsure of the transport spacing, but it seems (and I stress seems) like the population requirement in cargo capacity is the rule. Shipyards/slipways, terraforming installations, Maintenance facilities and Sector HQ are not transportable.
For the Mass Drivers, I have had instances where multiple packets come in and only 1 per driver is caught, causing a kinetic strike. So as a matter of routine, I keep enough on the home planet to cover incoming packets on a 1 - 1 ratio.
Shipbuilding I'm not sure on. The first research upgrade is 560/year, but the next two are 750 and 1000. I want to say it's in the 250-320 range.
QuoteProduction rates would be dependant on construction tech and officer bonus (if any).
That's why I said base rates.

Hmm, ok. According to Steve's posts, that shouldn't be the case so if it's happening, I'd report it as a bug.
Thanks,

Can you add the default production rates for all of these too? And the transport space requirements/if it can be moved?
Also, 1 mass driver will catch any number of packets, they are only limited to 5000 tons sent/year.
Thanks,
