Its too bad the event does not include the planet it happened on.  That would be the second most important bit of intelligence, behind finding out someone is watching you, of course.  ;)

The EDA team was operating in Africa, so it happened on Earth! It has really shaken up the Authorities, as currently they have no idea about jump points. In fact it’s probably a bug; I left the team operating against an enemy empire and forgot about them after the opposing empire was conquered.

There was the Earth Defence Authority minding its own business when this happened!! The EDA may not know of any one else, but SOMEONE OUT THERE knows about the EDA!!!!!   :D
