Yes.   A ship with commercial engines can transit with a military class jumpdrive.  Only the engines matter for this, not the overall ship classification.

You can't put more than one type of drive on a ship, that is mixing Civ/Mil/Ftr/GB.

So, uh, can commercial vessels execute jumps with a military drive, tonnage permitting? Or is it useless to have civilian jump tenders with military jump drives, regardless of the lack of reclassification?

EDIT: This is the so far nameless prototype...

Code: [Select]
P-MultiTender class Jump Tender    30,000 tons     1054 Crew     4381.5 BP      TCS 600  TH 5625  EM 0
9375 km/s    JR 3-50     Armour 2-86     Shields 0-0     Sensors 1/1/0/0     Damage Control Rating 1     PPV 0
Maint Capacity 3091 MSP    Max Repair 2500 MSP

J30000(3-50) Military Jump Drive     Max Ship Size 30000 tons    Distance 50k km     Squadron Size 3
GN-313C JANUS MagCon Fusion Drive (18)    Power 312.5    Fuel Use 5%    Signature 312.5    Armour 0    Exp 1%
Fuel Capacity 800,000 Litres    Range 960.0 billion km   (1185 days at full power)

This design is classed as a Commercial Vessel for maintenance purposes

I know military ships can't use commercial jump drives. However, can commercial ships use military jump drives? Military drives don't make a ship military, and that would be good for a reliable, civilian tender. However, she would be useless as a fleet vessel if, after supporting the warships' jump, she couldn't jump herself. The design screen doesn't show more than one type of jump drive on the 'sheet', so I'm guessing installing two different types of drives on a single ship is unnecessary/pointless.
