He had 75pt shields, 1 armor and way too many 12pt weapons.
I had 4 CA,6 DE and 1 JT (designs below).
Battle engaged at 4:00:01 July 8 2023.
JT Coontz 001 Targeted and destroyed in the first volley from the Precursor. (Up to this point I'd not given "Open Fire" orders from a RP standpoint as the officer in charge would wait for hostile intent from the contact.)
04:00:06 Los Angeles system
CA Agamemnon (Enterprise class) opens fire with 6 Twin R25/C3 Meson turrets. All shots miss.
CA Ajax (Enterprise class) opens fire with 6 Twin R25/C3 Meson turrets. 4 shots hit, reducing enemy shields by 40pts.
CA Alexander (Spruance class) opens fire with 2x Ion Torpedo, 8x 12cm Railgun, and 2x 25cm Plasma carronade. All shots miss.
CA Howard Anderson (Spruance class) opens fire. All shots miss.
6 DE (Lexington class) are armed with Quad 10cm laser turrets. Due to fire control tracking, none of the DE play an offensive role in the battle.
10 seconds later Alexander and Howard Anderson fire the railguns. Two hits for minimal damage (0pts).
5 seconds later, Alexander and Howard Anderson fire their Ion Torpedos. All miss.
04:00:26 Agamemnon and Ajax fire their meson turrets, inflicting 40 pts of damage. The railguns from the Spruance class CA's miss. Agamemnon targeted and destroyed by the Precursor.
Battle proceeds in this fashion for the next 3 minutes 45 seconds. Occasional hits from the meson turrets and the ion torps. Next ship lost was the Ajax, which reduced the chances of winning to nil. No escape possible as the jump ship was the first casualty.
